We made the switch from AT&T and needed a VoIP system. We chose 1-VOIP and didn't regret it. We needed technical support and received it from them on a Saturday evening, and the person who helped us walked me through the procedure and we were up in no time. Thank you.

Tried others and was disappointed. Found this company and LOVE everything about them. The best voice quality - the best service - all the people you talk with are in the USA - enough said!

I have had this service for about six years. I selected them when I wanted to move away from Vonage, mainly because of price. I have found their service to be excellent. I can talk to a real human, IN THE USA, without waiting a long time listening to tedious music and they resolve problems quickly with a sunny disposition. Their plans are also very cost effective, especially if you're planning to call overseas occasionally.

I am Canadian customer. Set-up proved interesting, but a call to customer service clarified the matter. Customer support and technical support are impressive. As with any new service there was the odd glitch but everything was resolved very efficiently. Their voice mail features are excellent. I have taken advantage of their "softphone" capability dialling home from Italy and the Bahamas at no charge. Recommendations have been made to family and friends.

They now have a free e-fax service that is easy to use and frees you up from needing a fax machine. I am very happy with the service and their customer service.

As others have said their service is top notch. A live person answers the phone and deals with any questions or issues in a timely manner.

After I unbundled my previous landline and Internet package, my landline monthly fee skyrocketed. I ordered 1-VoIP for one fifth of the cost thinking Internet phone service may not be as clear. I was wrong, I could not tell any difference.

I had to pay Verizon $10-$12/month extra for NOT using their long distance landline phone service. My slow DSL plus landline cost me nearly $80/month including all fees, taxes, and other crap they charge. After 7 years with Verizon they told me that my preciously "discounted rate" (huh?) was going to increase $10/month; that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Research and great reviews brought me to 1-VoIP. Wow, what a bargain! Easy setup, knowledgeable and friendly staff got my home number ported over and I was up and running. Sound quality is almost always as good as a regular landline. Only rare stutters, but not an issue for me. 1-VoIP announces who's calling and if I don't recognize the call and don't pick up it automatically goes to voicemail. I then get an email from 1-VoIP and can listen to the recorded call from my cell phone. I also love that I can "blacklist" sales and marketing calls from spammers. 1-VoIP is the only VoIP service I've used, so I can't compare to other service providers. But compared to my Verizon landline, they have far better service at a very reasonable cost. You couldn't pay me to go back to Verizon. Unless 1-VoIP's service takes a nosedive or cost skyrockets, I expect to be a happy customer of theirs for many years to come.

I like that Customer/Technical Service has real people that know what they're talking about. They don't just read from a script. We have had a couple small issues, such as echo on the line when I called from a cell, but that was taken care of very quickly. I left AT&T (which had the same service), but the price differential was staggering.
