Cheap cost for excellent VoIP service. No problems with system. Only issue is need to reset the line after using system to release intercom door to apartment building or cannot be heard on call (can hear other party). Makes no difference if incoming or outgoing call. No BasicTalk resolution.

Pro's: BasicTalk is Vonage minus many features. Most of those features, I don't miss. Service is excellent, reliability is excellent. Use a "Y" splitter on the phone cord to plug into the phone wiring system of your home to activate all phone outlets throughout your home.

I've had Basic Talk over a year. Not one problem, so I've never had to call customer Service. I've recommended them to my friends, and I appreciate the recommendation from a family member to get it in the first place.

I have had this service for about 3 years. Their phone service is OK but my voice mail doesn't work. Oh and it isn't $9.99 a month if you pay late.

$12.98 vs $48.89 - need I say more! OK the quality and reliability are the same. I received my original number before the converter arrived. The directions for installation were clear and simple.

No problems (I didn't complete the scroll-down information, which was my fault). It really covers a lot of details which impressed me, but really, BasicTalk deserves SIX-STARS for ease of setup. I used phone-call and Tech-help was outstanding.

After two months, BasicTalk either could not or would not have Teleblend release my old # for porting. About 8 or 10 times, BasicTalk told me I needed to edit my address and name but did not tell me what to change. All the info Teleblend had was 100% correct so I could never get back my old #. Do not be fooled into thinking you can keep your old number. BasicTalk is supposed to be the experts in this area and they fall WAY short. I finally gave up and will use only cell phones.

We have used this for 5 1/2 months and it has been nothing but a headache. We have had numerous problems from the get go - poor audio on even local calls, mistakes on getting billing straight, inability to contact Area Manager for help with problems, and now this. I have been without service for two days and can not get in contact with ANYONE who can help me. Service on the website can take 24-48 hours to even get back to you the first time. Our next call is to the BBB.

If you need your phone for work or have a family member with health issues I do not recommend this phone as it goes dead all the time. When you call for service you do not get a clear answer.

Pro: cheap service Con: bad sound, bad connections, bad customer service, limited access, limited time calling, horrible customer service. It is really a waste of time unless you use the phone for emergency reason.
