I was with them for about 5 years. Service was good with no rate increase until the end of 2014. Then I was billed twice in December. I left 2 phone messages and sent 2 emails in January but there was no response whatsoever. Then I was billed twice in January, twice in February, and three times in March (all via Visa credit card). I spoke to a customer service representative at the end of February but no refund appeared despite the promise of one within 1 weeks time. Finally in March, I called the owner at home who again promised a refund but we received email notice the next day saying "we physically cannot issue refunds for all the customers". I called Visa and explained the situation. They refunded 5 of the 9 charges, allowing November, December, January, and February charges, then closed my card to further access and are sending me a new card. Thumbs down Brama Telecom and thumbs up Visa!
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Lea (March 29th 2015) : The epilog. Hi Again! With Visa's assistance we received rebates for April, May, June, and July that had been billed in advance. Elie, the owner phoned yesterday to ensure we'd been fully refunded and he offered us a free month if we would continue. We'll see if the review comment's here improve greatly before we decide. On the positive side, technically, the VoIP service was always exemplary, with great sound quality. (I can't comment on the TV or internet service as it was/is unavailable in our area). We haven't used a land line phone service for years and REALLY APPRECIATED Brama Telecom's call forwarding and dial around features which enabled us to stay in touch with the world with only our cell phones, a huge convenience! As a matter of fact, because of cross-border cellular sites that often picked up our local cell phone calls, before handing them back to Rogers, we'd end up with thousands of $$ long distance charges, month after month. Well, we were able to prove that the calls were bogus with the dial around/call forwarding log records kept by Brame Telecom that we were able to show Rogers, which saved us literally thousands of $$! (Since then we've changed over to Virgin. They are great, and they bill us for their monthly service which we pay promptly via credit card without having to provide our credit card number to them!). Anyhow, if Elie can improve his customer support and billing departments, (as someone pointed out, if everything works great, you don't need customer service, and aside from the billing fiasco we've never required customer service) we will consider Brama Telecom once more.

Constantly overcharging my account. It is impossible to reach the customer service department. Working hours are unpredictable.

This company is one of the worst out there. People, don't be fooled by their prices, they like to lie to their customers and hide their fees. I had a really bad experience, got a package with phone, internet, and TV. Honestly, nothing really worked and they gave me my phone adapter after 2 months of being late. On top of that they didn't even give me the number I asked for. They ended up making excuses, their TV does not work at all and their Internet is really slow. If you like to get customer service DO NOT GO TO BRAMA TELECOM! They will not help you at all! ALSO DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO, they will keep crediting your account. OVER ALL DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!

Originally liked this service, even with a few problems. Service went down hill, unless you like to sit with a phone in your ear. They forget that you have to use another method to call. 611 is no good when you have a problem. Recently tried calling when they are supposed to be open, 3 calls and each message said they were closed! I have used this service for over 4 years and they put through an increase in monthly charge of over 50%. They are no longer close to being competitive. When I inquired about an app to extend my phone use, that was another major cost. Other VOIP providers were offering it free. I have gone from a happy customer who helped sell the product to a very upset customer who they are not interested in looking after. Easy conclusion after I finally got through with cell phone as my phone still hasn't been fixed after three days with no phone this time and I called again today.

If you are currently using Brama Telecommunications, like I am, good luck to you too. I have been having issues with my VoIP phone since December when changes started with billing. I have paid 4 payments to these rip off artists since December 1 of 2014. When I try to get in touch with customer service they are either closed or I sit on hold until they drop my call. Monday I was on hold the first time for 42 minutes only to have call dropped because my phone quit. When I get my phone back up and running after having to reboot system (which is a normal daily event since December 2014) they are closed. My advice to everyone would be to cancel what ever payment method you are using with them immediately! I have put in a report with the CRTC this morning. Enough is enough! My next move will be a drive to their office. You might of noticed my star ratings. I would like to point out the five stars I have given for ease of ordering and ease of set-up. No problem ordering from these guys at all, they love taking our money. Once upon a time their value for money was high, but not now. I have made four payments in a month and a half and good luck to me getting it back.

They take money from your account without your permission, the Cable service always sticks, and the customer service is the worst - you have to wait over 30 mins to speak to a customer representative. This company is a fraud, please don't do like what my wife and I did. They will screw up your credit. I honestly thought Rogers or Bell was bad, but Rogers and Bell are angels compared to Brama Telecom.

Multiple times they took money out of my bank account. I had to close my bank account to make it stop. I paid for 10Mbps Internet service but only got 1.5Mbps. I had to call 3 times a week and it would take at least an hour every time. I am trying to cancel and they want to charge hundreds to do so.

Brama Telecom used to be good. I used them for many years with no issues but now they are just unbelievably horrible. It's almost impossible to reach them. Waiting hours and hours in a phone queue then the line just cuts out, on multiple occasions. They charge your credit card without your permissions then they apologize for the mistake and do it again and again. What is wrong with them? They are like a thief and take your money from your pocket whenever they want. Very bad! Stay away from them!

We never had a problem in the last 2 years. Lately though they have charged me 4 times in one month from my credit card. I waited 2 hours on the phone to talk to them and finally the machine said "you are the first to wait for customer service" and then the call just cut off. So, I called a second time, waited about 45 minutes and the same thing happened. Next I used my cell phone to call and they answered in about 15 minutes. So I asked the guy about the 4 time charges in 1 month and then the call cut off again. So, I call again and the same guy answered. I ask him why he cut me off and he said it's my side not his. Then he started to tell me that 1 charge for last month, 1 for this month Dec-2014, 1 for next month Jan-2015 and 1 for the long distance calls. I always pay up front at the first of every month since the first day I started with them. Suddenly this is what they said. I don't think this guy wants to keep his business any longer.

Brama didn't give me any issues for the past 2 1/2 years that I've been with them. Mind you, I didn't have to contact customer service during that time. Here lies the issue: its 09:30am and when you call, the automated answering service tells you the offices are closed - yet their website states 09:00am as opened. When you speak to an agent it seems as if the Presidents mother asked for a favor for another mother and had the other mothers son sit at a desk and answer the calls, having previously been thrown a book and told: "this is what you answer for questions that are in the book and when you don't know, either hang up or tell them to call back to speak to the other agent" who unfortunately, doesn't know anything about the telecommunication business. If you're looking for a good deal, Brama is good; if you're looking for customer service....run....run...run away!
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Boris (January 9th 2015) : I have been trying to contact Brama since Monday January 5th. Phone has no answer, leaving messages on the website does not work, and emails are not answered. But they started to charge $20 more for the same service without a notice. So apparently canceling there service will also be a problem. Stay away from them!
