This company has the worst customer service, the worst product service, and accounting service, I have ever experienced. I have been trying to contact this company since the end of November. The company overcharged me by more than $100.00. Half the time the service never worked. I have been on hold with the customer service department for three hours. I am determined to speak with the company and will be reporting this company to CRTC.

My start date was October 7th and finally done on November 3rd. Customer service is impossible, the television modem is down and no response from Brama.

I will never recommend this provider to anyone. Their customer service sucks. They are not reliable at all. Nobody should even try to call them for any assistance. You can never get any problems resolved with this company. They are very quick to charge to your credit card, but to get credit back it will take months. This company should be reported to Better Business Bureau for their unfair business practices. Don't even think of signing up with this company, you will regret it big time.
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Desi (Nov 25th, 2014) : I totally agree with Mary. They never reply to your email or phone calls and all they do every month is charge some extra money. Now they are charging for going over BANDWIDTH usage. They say we have used
800GB per month, can you believe that! With our previous ISP our usage was never more then 80GB per month. Their limit is 300GB so they are charging us for usage over that limit.
Is there any establishment/legal forum where we can complain about these guys for investigation? Can anyone provide guidance for complaints?
Mario (December 18th 2014) : Agreed, worst services provider I have had to deal with. Scammers, liars, very unreliable, not knowledgeable of their own systems and fixes. Nothing got improved from day one. I cancelled the account after 3 weeks, which was way too late, I should have done it sooner.

This company kept charging me for World package and I could not make long distance call in GTA or even 1-800 toll free number. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. When you call you are put on hold (music) for half an hour and when it goes to message the message box is full. There is no response for your e-mails. I think this company is run by automated service. They will keep charging even if you switch to any other provider until you fill their online cancellation form which requires 1 months notice. So they will bill you even if they are not providing the service. I paid around $35.00 for the service for several months for basic $15.00 service. You cannot talk to anybody for refunds because there is no one receiving your calls or e-mails. I would not recommend them even to my enemies.

Beware scammers - when you cancel service they continue billing you. Even after I asked to remove my credit card from their files and filled in their online form, they still billed my credit card! Unbelievable! Only cancelling credit card helped!

I called to order the DSL service and had a few questions upfront. The first question was "Would there be a charge for switching addresses?" to which I was told there would be zero charge. I then proceeded to give my information and they billed my credit card $141.17. I get a call back a week later where I'm told the agent didn't put my last name into the account because apparently he "Couldn't make it out" even though I repeated myself 5 times and told him the last name in military alphabet. So I corrected that and I was to get a call back with an installation date. When I got the call back the supervisor called. He confirmed my price which was a much higher price than the original agent had told me. I then reasked all my original questions. Apparently there's a $25 charge every time I switch addresses (I'm flipping houses so that's quite often) and the cost of the service was more because of a dry loop that the original agent said was included in the price. I then proceeded to cancel the service. I was told it would take 30 days to refund the money to my card although they billed me for it in a matter of seconds. So I waited 35 days, still no refund. When I called back, the agent told me that they refund order wasn't put in until last week (3 weeks after I cancelled) and I would be waiting until almost the 2 month mark to get my money back. They lied on the phone just to bill my card, and now they're collecting interest on my money while I'm paying interest on my credit card for it. No one should EVER get a service with Brama Telecom.

Their customer support said that: 1. their technical staff who fixed my phone once per month were wrong and they did not know what they were suppose to do, and 2. their phone has to be restarted once per month at least to make it working without problems.

After two and a half years, I weigh the service I get against the price I pay, and the conclusion is that it's a good value. It's not wonderful, but it gets the job done and it doesn't cost very much. Reliability is about 99 percent or slightly higher. Almost all of us also have cell phones today, so it probably doesn't need to be 100 percent reliable.

It took many calls just to receive the modem and when it arrived it didn't work. Called tech support and they didn't get it working either. So I told them I was sending it back and to cancel my account. Then the real problems start, they said you have to send in the return form completed 100%. It's hard to fill out a form that is not available. After many email and phone requests still nothing 5 days later. So I called again and recorded the call to prove my request. Just sending it back with the email chain as there is no return form I guess. Beware of this service

I have been using this provider since April 2011 and love the sound quality as well as the features; althought I don;'t use them all and probably never will. Anyway, I live out in the countryside so I do not have access to highspeed through my land line. I have satellite and there are few other companies that offer complete VOiP service like these guys. With vonage and distributel, you are still using the land line from Bell and will be paying double. With Bramatele, I pay less than $20 a month and have long distance anywhere in Canada and the US. It is like a local call to me. Also with BramaTele, I can use my cellphone to make calls anywhere in the world that has 3G or 4G or wireless access. They have downloadable apps for your smartphone to make your smartphone work on their system. The only complaint I have with them is their long distance rates for overseas calls. I bit more expensive then if you dialled 10-10-925 or whatever; but I still pay less than half of what I used to pay when I was with Bell. Bell is a dinosour; they are of no use to a lot of people now a days. For true VOIP; get rid of that landline; get satellite or cable internet and you are on your way to true VOIP service. Best thing I have done was get rid of Bell.
