This is the first time I've bothered to write a review but Comcast's problems with equipment malfunctions, inability to fix problems permanently and confusion with sceduling appointments can drive even a cheerful person to dispair. My phone has broken for the third time in 12 days. Our phone AND computer service were down today. The repair person was 2 hours late, and FAILED to call as previously arranged with Comcast, so I missed him. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Comcast tonight and rescheduled for tomorrow. Here we go. All over again. Our family has used Comcast for computer and television practically from the start. The product and service were both excellent. But Comcast seems to have become so large, it's out of control and the product and service are unreliable as well as TIME CONSUMING to resolve. Our misfortune is we don't have good options for change.

100 phone calls and counting to try and get my isp working correctly over a 6 month period. Customer and tech support generally incompetent, I have had so much contact I seem to know how things work better than these folks. The company is an out of control bureaucratic mess which treats customers like dirt. Structural elements in their system make it obvious it's not customer first, it's comcast and when then can help they are incompetent. They give out wrong information, often do not understand basics, make frequent mistakes. A horribly run monopoly which you should avoid at all costs if you can. Unfortunately only choice I have. Ohh and watch you bills creep month after month, but what do you expect from monopolist creeps?

They do flase advertising and you never get the bonus offers.

after a 1 year triple-play subscription expired, we decided to downgrade to local phone with no tv, and upgrade the internet to 30 Mbit. The customer service was incredibly helpful (suggested the inexpensive local phone option) and friendly. Their internet is also _very_ reliable compared to other providers, and now that 30 and 50 Mbit plans are out, they are an incomparable deal in the area (we do not get FIOS).

I ordered Comcast over four weeks ago. They told me they would have a tech out the next day and indeed they did! he was there about five minutes and promptly told me I would need a very expensive construction crew come out because my cable would have to be over 250 ft. I pointed out my neighbor had been hooked up for over 27 years. That's the year I bought this house and his garage workshop is cabled and sets FARTHER off the road than my house! If I have made one call to Comcast I have made 40. All the reps are courteous and promise to call me back as soon as any information has been obtained... no call backs yet. The real annoying thing about it is cut myDTV a month age so no TV at all... I feel like Don Quixote tilting at windmills.

After doing some homework/research, my wife and I decided to go with Comcast. From the very beginning, we have had nothing but problems and headaches. It started when the installer came and installed our internet line and cable TV. The internet wires were installed very poorly in the basement and we got the wrong cable box. After calling them and telling them of the problem, I had to go all the way to one of their payment centers and exchange my box. Now that I have the right box, the remote and the box itself doesn't turn on when you hit the power button. I gave Comcast the benefit of the doubt from the beginning. but I have had nothing but headaches since I decided to go with them. I am really regretting my choice. I just wish their were other companies to choose from than Comcast.

Support wont give you support if you say you use Firefox. Overall they are a good ISP. I could use more upload speed.
