Awful customer services, wait for ever on the phone, the bill is never the same, they are very rude, and are simply thieves, do not go there! Never again.

Frontier starts out fine then subtly increases your price for Internet by upgrading your plan without your consent or by removing and no longer offering your current subscription. If you deactivate your account they will still bill you. For example I deactivated the account 4 months prior to today and they are billing me $180. They also keep false records of any complaint or call that you make to them. The speed is bad to top it off and they will transfer you at least 5 times and just run you in circles till you get aggravated and decide to yell in which they just hang up. Total incompetence in their staff. THEY ARE CROOKS WHO STEAL YOUR MONEY. DO NOT USE! LET THEM GO BANKRUPT. Hopefully this helps some people.

Frontier sells you one thing and charges you a different amount. Customer Service cannot help you on Saturday and Sundays.

The worst company ever, service is out every other week for days at a time. Last time we had a service call the person still never showed up after a month and about 40 phone calls. You will get less than you pay for with these clowns.

Finally kicked Comcast to the curb after about 8 years of service. Monthly bill increases and poor broadband put me over the edge. Frontier recently put FiOS in our street and after good reviews from neighbors I tried them out. First the downside, some legacy issues between Frontier and Verizon. Frontier bought the service from Verizon for Washington state so the Frontier customer service still resides in the East Coast and they are clueless on FiOS for the West Coast. Seriously had to leave about 5 messages for them to try and sign up for service which is crazy! Finally spoke to someone who understood FiOS and they confirmed it would work with my TIVO using a cable card and also confirmed that I could get TV, phone and Broadband. Took about 9 days for them to come and install the FiOS box to my house. Install can be time consuming depending on your setup at your house. Mine took about 1.5 hours. Got the TIVO up and running, an HD box upstairs for the kids room and broadband throughout my house. Some issues signing up for service but worth it, the service ROCKS! Tried the VoIP and speed test many times on this site and rock solid and always consistent. Seeing 25Mbps downlink, 10Mbps uplink and no packet loss or jitter so my VoIP works great! Paying about $110/month for the broadband and tv which is around $30 cheaper than Comcast....and this actually works consistently! Very happy so far.

Would love for you to provide package deals and/or "disabilty/senior" discounts because our options are VERY limired in this extremely hilly farming community of Illinois. Would LOVE to use Verizon, in the light that they seem to be the only cell company with a NETWORK EXTENDER. And I have gone through SEVEN cells in the past year (AFTER,REGRETFULLY) dropping good ole Vonage! Thanks for the article! NJH
