I have been with Jive for almost one year and as a small business owner, I'm very careful of where I spend our funds. I need to make sure that we get the best bang for the buck as well as reliability. We only have one line for voice and one for fax but now no one will ever get a busy signal again. I really did do an exhaustive search of the VOIP providers that met the criteria we developed prior to the search. Examples of the criteria were no long term contract, support via phone, a good track record, all of the standard extras that most providers include at no charge as well as a great price. There are only a few drawbacks and I think most of the other providers are in the same boat. I would have liked a smartphone app. I'm not sure why since I have not had the need to use one yet, but I just like the idea. And the other is that it is a high tech system so you really have to learn how to use the back end if you want to make the changes yourself. The backend is very comprehensive and I'm not a tech person. If you are a tech person, you will find it easy. I usually just give in and call Jive to make the changes for me. That works well and unlimited help is included. I can now do some things on my own. In fact Jive has worked out so well for us that when I was elected to the board of a local non-profit, after showing the board the Jive VOIP system, they elected to switch to Jive and are very happy with it.

Pros. The process to convert our phones to VOIP was seamless, great value and quality. Cons. Other than a delay in porting our numbers, we have no cons to list.

Everything works great except for a firewall issue. We're in day 4 at our new location and tested this for a week prior with great results.

I have been with Jive for about 3 weeks and we have been loving our new system. The phones came labeled and ready to basically plug and play. The web based PBX is very user friendly, although the orientation prior to use made it that way. The only issue we had was minor tech support error that had one of our employees reset her phone which required more tech support help to resolve the error caused by the first service rep. They were all over it and had that line up and running in short order. I don't expect any service provider to be perfect but what I do expect is a sincere effort to make things right, which they did quickly and professionally.

Jive Communications has been fantastic to work with. Their service team is extremely responsive and has enhanced our company's telephony systems tremendously, while reducing our spend. Financial Guard is a growing organization and I am confident that Jive will be our partner for many years to come.

Jive was great. We've had setup trouble with other VOIP providers, but Jive stuck with us till we got everything working. Great support.

Pros: Call quality, value, features, customer portal, number port process and knowledgeable salesperson. Cons: One short issue with call connect delay and long wait time on support line when they had an outage.

Everyday the system reveals more of its capabilities. This by far is the best system overall. I researched many to make this decision.

Great customer service, but we have dealt with a lot of headaches regarding quality of sound on our phones and the phone losing connection with Jive's server so it will stop working or the lights on the phone with start blinking. Very annoying.

Comment by Rob on 8/27/2013 : I am an IT consultant that has installed Jive. Your issues are most likely related to your networking equipment such as router or switch. QOS capable equipment is needed.

I love this company. Once you understand how to navigate it and work on the system, it is pretty customer friendly. When I have had problems, the employees were always quick to help and very friendly! Never made feel stupid for not understanding..just walked me through until I understood how to program my own system. I'd recommend it to anyone!
