Sound quality is bad. If over DSL, you hardly can hear what the other side is talking. They will hear you fine. Cell call is extremely bad.

SCAM company!!! They can charge you however they want but never refund you since they have your credit card number. So many problems with them I don't want to mention but this one is outrageous -- when I canceled my service, they didn't give me the return address for the device until 15 days later, so they charged a late fee for $59.99. The customer service always gave you false information in order to charge you some money later. I just learned a greater joke -- they will charge you $300 if they don't receive the device in 30 days... What kind of device worth $300!!! And how do I suppose to know they can be trusted based on the lies they have been telling!!! If you want to use company, just be prepared that you are going to pay around $400 to get out. What a wonderful company with wonderful service!

The company is a scam. They will take your request for canceling service but keep charging your credit card monthly, and will refuse to refund the money. They will do everything to stop you from canceling the service and you will regret you ever used this company. Usually they make you pay hundreds of dollars to terminate the service. Do not use them!!!

This is a follow up to my review back in April. I returned their equipment, paid their damn charges that they claimed I had........ based on 3 days of incoming calls when my service was not operational (my credit card on file had expired and they cut the service). It is now Dec and I get an email from my credit card company saying there was an unauthorized transaction. guess who? italkbb! $300 and some odd dollars. Now I have to wait till my credit card company sends me a new card before I can use it again. Funny, i thought it was over with them. Apparently not........... check your credit card history carefully, you may not be as lucky

there was a 30days free trail service and they talk you just make a call to their call center, they will give you a cancellation number and you can return the device to their retail store, but actually you have to mail back the device to their PO BOX address. Remember, there is no free lunch

I think some customers in the US is having problems with iTalkBB. I'm in Toronto, Canada and cannot be more happy with iTalkBB. I picked up the VOIP box from their retail store at First Markham Place. They told me I could return it in person if I was not happy. Their reps were fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English and was quite helpful and walking through the options, setup, and number porting. It came home with VOIP box, plugged into my router and was up and running in minutes. Voice quality is as good as my old Bell landline, with no quality loss even when I am streaming an HD movie from Netflix. That said, I have 16Mbps fibre service. Like all VOIP service, you need a decent internet connection, in my experience the some DSL and cable services are more likely to break-up or be choppy if there is a lot of latency on the connection. After one week, I submitted my request for number port-in. Make sure you do it from you account management page, there is another link on their webpage that brings up a totally different form. Took exactly one week to port-in my old number. Not bad. I haven't need to call customer support since I haven't run into any issues, but honestly service from their store, and documentation is pretty good. Only noticable shortcoming is some iTalkBB seems to have less of the advance VOIP features compared to some other provider. Frankly, the only one, I miss is autoforward if my line/connection is down. Other than that, I have to say everything is top notch so far. Highly recommend iTalkBB.

Very bad overall service, especially when you try to cancel it. First, they will say they can't cancel it, please wait to call back on the last day. Then you called on the last day, and you thought you have cancelled, but it is not. But the phone stop working to call out. Two months later, they will call you and said you owed them two months of service fees, and you better also return their equipment, otherwise they will put you through a collecting agency. When asked there was no service to make calls out, and they replied you have records of receiving calls. That their policy. If you don't want to go through these troubles, you'd better make a wise decision now.

The real bad part starts when you want to discontinue its service. You are asked repeatedly to reconsider your decision. You need to return everything .... this is part of the instruction that I got for returning the equipment. Dear xxx xxxx, ...... Please mail back iTalkBB?s phone adapter in its original condition including, all packing materials with bar codes in tact, all parts and accessories, documentation and manuals and all other items originally received within fifteen (15) days of service termination. ..... No refunds will be made to customer until iTalkBB receives the returned Equipment. If iTalkBB does not receive the returned equipment after fifteen (15) days, a $59.99 Equipment Fee will be charged to Customer's credit card, or we may turn your account over to a collection agency. .....

Ordering was a pain it took several attempts to port my existing phone number over. I asked before purchasing if this would work with all my services. AT&T, ADT and Home phone. i was assured over and over it would. first thing was i went without a phone and internet for 1 week. next the service worked fine for about 1 month. then the sound went to crap. then i get a call from my alarm company stating they lost phone connectivity. so over the course of a week with several calls to AT&T and ItalkBB it does not support my alarm system. then i told ItalkBB i did not like thier pprogram and service and want to pay for the three months of service and cancel. over and over like a broken record they said i could not and they would charge me a cancellation fee if i did. the fact that they customer service reps barley speak english is an additional annoyance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VOIP.
