The actual charge for the 500-minute $9.95 service is really $15.07. there is a "line charge" of approximately $2.00 per month. I understand that you must pay taxes on the service, but the other fees are not described. As a minimum, the service should be described as costing $11.95+ per month. Also, the "shipping and setup Fees" total over $40.00!! Stay away.

ITP is a cult. Their serice is good, and their tech support is outstanding. But just try to leave. They won't let you without a phone call. Now, joining them is easy enough, and they are quite happy to take your money over the internet, But the only way they'll lte you quit is by calling them. We quit using their service over two months ago. We've instructed our bank to not pay them. Yet they keep billing us every month. Further we sent then a letter asking that they cease and desist. They don't publish their us mail address -- you have to do a whois to get it. We sent them a certifed letter telling them of the termination. No response, and they keep insisting that we must call them on the phone. We work nights, We are asleep during their office hours, so there is no way they are ever going to hear from us. ITP is likw a cult. Once you're in, they never let you go.

They refuse to allow you to discontinue service except by phone. They refuse email, and do not provide a postal address to write them at (I had to look it up through a whois). We work nights, so we sleep during the day, so it's impossible to communicate by phone. We stopped using their service over 6 weeks ago, yet they continue to try and ding our account (our bank has been instructed to refuse their billing). It's like trying to leave a cult. They won't leave you alone, even after writing an actual letter (and we got receipt!). The service is good otherwise, but avoid them if you ever want to leave. As I said, it reminds me of a cult. Oh - they say they need to talk to you for security reasons. Interesting that I was able to sign up without human interaction, why can't I leave the same way?

Garbled voices at the other end of the line. 2-3 second delay. Have existing VoIP on same setup and there is no delay. The issue is most likely the SPA2012 - which is Linksys/Cisco and probably, like other Linksys products is of poor quality. Outbound calls are completely garbled and unintelligible. Perhaps InsightBB (my ISP) is purposely compromising VoIP service that is not theirs.

Even though I have an unlimited US & Canada plan, ITP started charging me for calls within Canada and when contacting their customer service, they accused me of fraudulent activities and that I'm using the service for business. I do not own any business and all my call are made to not more than 5 or 6 numbers. I tried to explain this to their customer service but they did not cancel those charges. Once my contract is over, I'll cancel their service. If you make long calls ITP is NOT your right provider.

It started fine. But as time goes on, the quality become worse and worse. Now 1-2 months later, I can't make calls because the voice quality is soooo bad. Unbelievable. Their tech support told me that it was either the cable to the modem was bad, or I was losing packets thru the cable modem or Comcast. Called Comcast, they told me that their signal was good. So whatever it was, the whole thing was just not working. Another thing, they started charging before I got my phone # ported over, and the porting took a month.

BAD Experience with ITP. I tried ITP because their website says their adapter will power all the phone jacks in your home. This did not work for me per their directions. When I called to cancel they said I still had to pay the shipping ($16.95) and the Activation Fee ($29.95) and pay to ship the adapter back ($12.00). So, if you want to try VOIP, be aware that ITP will charge you $60.00 even if you return it after 5 days. Next time, I'm using VONAGE - free setup, free activation, and it costs less overall for the first year than ITP.

This experience felt like the "its a small world" ride at Disney, It took 2 weeks to receive the "device" which turned out to be a piece of paper with a password on it. I had told them I was interested in softphone service and they insisted I needed this piece of paper to get up and running. Can't use a standard softphone with their service, it has to be the one they provide. I didn't even bother attempting to set it up after being told this. Asked for a refund and they denied it saying that the service was already activated. This company has many hidden fee's, and don't even try asking for a refund. No 24/7 support, if their idea of 24/7 support is going to their website looking up a FAQ... I started looking around and heard they keep charging your card after you cancel. This should be interesting.... when will this ride stop!
