I had the triple play for a year with Optimum, than the increased my price. I decided to switch my phone service to ITP for their unlimited plan. Turns out that not only is ITP cheaper, but the sound quality is much better with ITP.

Refuse to provide customer service by email. Insist that you call by phone. Interestingly, my phone didn't work, so I couldn't call them. They also refused to cancel my account by email. Customer service line was closed everytime that I called for over a month. It seemed like a reasonable deal until it didn't work.

First VOIP service. Switch over from ATT (paying over $80 a month), now only paying between $26-$32. Sound quality is good, some times gets a little static for a few seconds. Have not got any service problems at all. Instant dial tone, and tone when phone is left on. Features are great, my favorites are the blacklist (stops annoying callers with a message saying "the number you are calling is no longer in service"), Follow Me (can set up 3 lines with different number of rings, I have it set up for 4 rings at home, 3 rings to a mobile phone, and 3 rings to another mobile phone so we never miss a call) and forward on no internet (in case power or internet goes down, you can still receive incoming call through a other number). In order to use these features you need to log on to ITP website, and enter the numbers you want to be used for all features. Setup was not free. its $29.95 for activation fees and $14.95 for shipping and handling. but i was also charged for the first month service of $19.99, which should be free according to ITP. Contacted ITP via email and it was refunded back 2 days after sending a email to ITP. Other thing is you will see to charges on every bill is $1.99 for ITP Line Fee, and $1.99 for E911 Recovery Fee. and of course FCC Universal Service Fee. Phone number porting took 5 weeks, it actualy would of taken 3 weeks, but I made a mistake in the LOA form. (ITP saids it can take up to 60 days to complete transfer) Customer service is only available on weekdays betweens certain hours. Emails are replied to in about a day. Have to pay extra for fax $9.99. But other then that the service is great and will not switch back to regular landlines any time soon.

Very poor call quality. Lots of echo. 20% of the time we dial the phone number and nothing happens. Compared to the now defunct AT&T Callvantage the quality is extremely poor.

Stay away from ITP! They have horrible customer service. I ordered service and after 3 weeks of trying to get my service running and after 30+ emails and over $70 dollars later, I finally gave up. I asked them to cancel my service and refund my money. You can guess that I never got money. In fact, when I tried to talk to a manger, I never got one. They would say that a manager will call me. Yep, you can guess right, no one ever called me. STAY AWAY FROM ITP. Horrible company. Their company is about getting your money and not about providing good phone service. Stay away, you have been warned. Oh, by the way, you can only call them from 9-5 Monday to Friday and not at the weekend.

Had Vonage, which I was very happy with, but found ITP a ton cheaper. I had been relatively happy with ITP, their FAX plan is awful, doesn't work all the time, nor will it work with TIVO as my Vonage did. But for the money, I was OK with it. Now my Lynksys ITP VoIP box has stopped working, and I find no technical support available....limited hours? Hmmmm, I will be checking other VoIP companies ASAP.

They promised one rate and charged another. They are professional con artists. Find a company that delivers and charges what they promised. Not recommended!

Two years of reliability,Only loss of service due to TimeWarner outages, Twice I had to remove power to the gizmo and modem and both times that restored functionality. Had 1 issue early on with slowed browser; tech emailled and called later and together walked me thru best setup of gizmo, router and modem. Have started no tickets since. I recommend ITP.

I decided to use ITP after reading the reviews here on this site. I have no regrets it. ITP has cut down my phone bill to a fraction of what I was paying the local phone company! PLUS I'm getting all the extras like caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, call blocking, Voicemail and a whole lot more without paying extra for them! I didn't have any of that with my very basic plan with my local phone company and was paying 4 times as much. ITP has been great! Now I'm going to use it for my business as well.

My experience with ITP has been flawless. The setup was super easy, the shipment came really fast. The service worked straight out of the box. The service sounds so clear! NOBODY can tell I'm using voip on my line! I definitely recommend them.
