This is a very bad company and they steal money from customers for nothing.First, they offered a one month free if some one refer a friend. I did so and my friend was informed by them that i will be rewarded. But nothing happened. After I am fed up with this company, I switch to Vonage. They transfer my phone number after lot of trouble from Lingo. I inform them through an email to customer service to cancel my account. But they continued to charge my credit card. Please don,t get the service from Lingo as they are such a bad company only looking for money.

The worst company I ever dealt with in my life. The custormer service people are all liers. I think they trained their customer service folks how to lie and decive the customers. They lied to me about the rate, service coverage, promotions and everything they talked about. They prmosed to give me the refund they have charged extra for last several months but didn?t. I can write about their deceptions and bad practices for hours. I don?t have that time. In summary, it is my request to the people who are shopping the VOIP phone: do NOT choose Lingo. I am wondering why they haven?t been sued yet.

I've had the service for several years and finally a few days ago my VoIP modem (ATA) died. One quick phone call, 10 minutes of test and customer service realized it could not be fixed. This was on a Tuesday evening, Friday morning, a new ATA arrived. Plugged it in and back up and running again. Customer service was great.

Lingo is an excellent phone service, but discontinuing service from this company is one of the hardest things I've ever done. First attempt was basically disregarded; second attempt meant billing me for an extra month. Even after that Lingo kept trying to charge my credit card. Then, 2 months after the initial attempt to disconnect, came a letter threatening to charge $75 if I didn't return the Lingo adapter (which customer service reps had said I didn't need tor return). I don't know if it's just disorganization or a sleazy company, but I would avoid this company -- even though the service and actual customer service reps were fine. In all it was 5 or 6 phone calls, emails and letters.

Lingo - Is among one of the most unethical companies out there. Besides the voice quality being fairly marginal, Lingo will automatically terminate you calls if they extend beyond 2 hours. If you happen to be on a conference call or need to be on for a long period of time your call will automatically be dropped. If your try to terminate your service, they will not turn it off and tell you that you must also may a $99.95 disconnection fee (even though they never provide any disclosures about their policies beforehand). Do a GOOGLE search on "Lingo Complaints" you will be overwhelemed with the quanity of complaints. You must also be aware of their billing practices as they will charge you unauthorized fees ... you must review your bill each month to make sure of the charges or they will cheat you. The pareny company is called "PRIMUS Telecommunications". This is truly a sleazy, unethical company. BUYER BEWARE.

When I signed up for the service, they told me it is unlimited. After 2 weeks, I received an e-mail stating I am violating the policy. When I called they told me I can use only 60 minutes/day. They are cheating people. Don't trust them thinking that it is unlimited......only 1hour/day... How can it be an unlimited planning.....

Numerous calls to customer service regarding poor quality and repeated dropped calls brought the same response each time. They could find no problems at their end and put it all back on me. Had same responses regarding service dropping out and having no phone service as a result. After resetting device, calling customer service to register another comlaint, they would then call me back with the statement they could find no problems and again put it back on me. Enough is enough and I'm giving up Lingo.
