OK....just save yourself a lot of time and go to another company.....the first few months were rocky with poor quality, dropped calls, etc. then they finally changed the box. works fine -I have had for 2+ years, just don't want to bother starting over......BUT customer service is virtually non-existent and ALL tech support is outsourced to middle east. Their own phone system at their offices doesn't work and continually drops connections...just go somewhere else, there are lots of other options.

great customer service, and security. 3 months at a low cost then about 30 a month. havent had any hidden charges. i use automatic pay with my bank account. they seem fair and efficient. we cant use the phone when downloading or uploading. we can use it when using the internet but there are some slight skips in hearing or speaking. weve tried when downloading though, and it just doesnt work. if the computer isnt online, it works great. i dont dislike, as i do recommend it, i just feel people should know.

Do not use Lingo. They baited and switched me. I started out with a low monthly rate. All was well and good. After the initial inexpensive period of 6 months, I was expecting monthly rates of around $20.00 or so. No. Starting in January my rate jumped to $39.42. There is another problem with this company. They charge via credit card. And they are very difficult to remove from your credit card. Beware of their ability to have selective memory and misleading and hidden charges. My monthly rate in January doubled to $39.42. This was the same rate I was receiving at ATT. Actually more. Why did I ever switch from ATT? This company is a nightmare. Takes forever to reach customer service. And then they will not help you but lead you around to different offices within the company. I talked to 3 different customer service reps., each saying they were going to help me. This is the epitome of the off shore, foreign company who hides behind low initial prices but who later takes advantage of weak international business regulations. And oh, I just lost the land line phone number I had had for 10 plus years because I did not give in to the pressure and threat of a $100.00 early cancellation fee that was never in the initial contract to begin with. I have already started a dispute with them via my credit card. Oh, and after they cancelled my service, I now can not access my bill as they have blocked my access. Oh this is going to be so much fun sharing this with the Texas Attorney General and with the Better Business Bureau! Again, do not repeat my mistake. Go elsewhere for your voip.

FIRST THEY DISCONNECTED MY PHONE, WITHOUT NOTIFICATION, AND AFTER 48 HOURS THEY RESTORED MY SERVICES AND WITHOUT INTERNATIONAL PLAN WHICH I WAS PAYING FOR, THE REASON, I USED TOO MANY MINUTES, IT WAS UNLIMITED OK BUT MAY BE ACCORDING TO THEM I MAY HAVE USED 100-200 MINUTES ABOVE BUT THAT SHOULD'T HAVE BEEN THE REASON, THEY BLOCKED THE SERVICES AT THE MOST CRUCIAL TIME, I HAD MOVED FROM ANOTHER TOWN, AND AFTER TWO DAYS MY DAUGHTER WAS TO HAVE SURGERY - I HAD NO PHONE - THE TOWN WAS NEW AND I HAD TO GO BUY PHONE CARDS A BUNCH OF THEM, AND FINALLY THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD RESTORE THE SERVICES ON MARCH 1ST - I AM STILL WAITING CALLING & CALLLING NO BODY GIVES A DAMN TO MY PROBLEMS - I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMEND AGAIN - LINGO IN PINGO DONT EVER SIGN UP.

I apology for my language but I must say that Lingo, it sucks! They say one thing and do completely another. Before having their so called 'world max' service I asked their agents whether they really mean that I'll have 5000 minute talktime/month for intl use... she said yes, and then I asked if they have any plan to change this feature in future...she said no. I took the service & recommended many of my friends (who still blame me for their sufferings). With my utter dismay I've noticed that they begun changing their terms and conditions and sending me abusive mails. I tried to call the and after several attempts and one time on hold for 45 minutes I could reach one agent (this is the longest waiting time for me...!) and she seemed to be quite confused about their own terms and conditions. There are so many more like this and bottom line is DO NOT get their service ever.

I read others review and did not beleive it until yesterday when my service was disconected.My experience with Lingo was of a happy customer for the last seven months. until last day when i was left without service. Customer service keep saying that the problem is with their server and they are working hard to fix the problem. It is over 30 hours and still did not have service. i'm considering cancelling the service and do not care if i have to pay the early termination fee of $100. i do not recomend lingo to any one.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. All you are going to end up getting is FRUSTRATED. I have had a horrible experience with them since I switched my plan to the Lingo World Max. With a combination of False Advertising and Horrible Customer Service, I wonder how these guys do business. Their UNLIMITED plans are really not unlimited and you learn it the hard way. They should probably buy a dictionary and look up the meaning of the word "Unlimited". Extremely disappointing service.

service is a joke ,poor line quality,expensive not good poor call quality ,bad costumer service,static on the line,charges are ridiculous I purchased this service a year ago I haven't been able to make any quality calls with it. The line is noisy, poor quality and customer service support:I waited an hour to talk to someone after several attempts. now if you want to disconnect. They want to charge you $100 for the equipment. Plus the equipment becomes unusable. So you can send it to the recycling center.I think Magic Jack are much better and cheaper service for your money. You get the same deal... overall I would not recommend lingo to anyone. I tried it I didn't like it for the money you can get a better deal somewhere else.

Lingo has the worst customer service of any company...not just VoIP!! Not only was my phone disconnected with no notice...when I called, the customer service people found the situation funny to be in the US with no phone! Not only was there no sense of providing a service the people could barely be understood. I am Indian and am well aware of accents....but it is like Lingo went out of its way to make sure to get the worst customer service people on earth! Have'nt any lawyers been mistreated by Lingo yet? Phone service cannot be reinstated for a few days apparently! What a bunch of baloney!

PLEASE do not waste your time trying LINGO. It is not worthed. I switched to Lingo unlimited plan and they have disconnected my home phone after 2 month saying that too much uses when I used les than 1000 munites. Residential Lingo world max plan is not truly unlimited it. Unlimited word is there to scam consumers to signup for their service. If you signup for Lingo World Max plan thinking you are getting unlimited calls you will be cheated. My service was cancelled for using about less than 1000 minutes in a month. I had received warning email stating that I'm over using and using as a commercial line even though I just calling friends and family. If you are thinking about taking Lingo service think twice and read the fine print. They will disconnect with out noticed and no responses phone call or email after suspended your service. Also they do not mention how many minutes you can use it per month. That means even 500 minutes can be deemed by Lingo as a non single family usage. LINGO TOTALLY SUCK!!!! Tax (hidden) charges are way too high.
