I paid for several years of service for 3 lines, about a year ago, I had 3 devices and 3 separate numbers, which they put into 2 different accounts and told me that their system wasn't capable of merging the 2 accounts once the device was registered, anyway the IDIOTS charged me for the 3 lines for 10+3 years then they disconnected 2 of my lines. I have been trying to get this resolved since last February and still nothing.

MagicJack says it has Caller ID. That is true in that it shows you the phone number of the caller. It does NOT show you the name of the caller, they call that name-id or CNAM. This is absurd! How can you not show names? This is not 1974! Also, when someone hangs up on you, you here a beep, beep, beep noise. Very annoying.

I have used magicjack for years and had very little trouble with it, and when I did they fixed it right away. I love it, it fits my needs very well.

A former employee set up a MagicJack phone, which he used until he left the company. He set it up using his COMPANY email address and paid via COMPANY credit card. Our company is NOT able to cancel this phone number (we didn't want a refund, we just wanted to cancel/end this phone number, and MagicJack refused). They reported that he "former employee" must cancel it, even though it was a company line set up for company use by a company employee. Very frustrating, and so illogical. After much time on the phone with customer service and never able to cancel the line I finally learned on my own (by searching the website) how to forward the phone line. Customer Service was nice/pleasant, but unhelpful. She wouldn't even inform me how to forward the calls. It was strange. I suggest avoiding MagicJack.

This is the worst service ever! I would not advise buying the MagicJack! I have had the service since 2017 and have spent more time on the phone with customer service than I care to write about here. If you do not buy the Concierge Service Plan you will not be able to talk to anyone on the phone for help, you will have to correspond by writing your problem on the internet. These call center employees waste more time than its worth going through their scripts and making you do things to the connection which often requires you to lose your connection with the person you are talking to. It would also be nice to talk to someone without thick accents that talk so fast you can not understand a single word of what they are saying. I have had this service since 2017 and I paid for the service years in advance that expires in 2023. Recently, now March 2020 I had to get a new device (a replacement device!) for reception that had gone from bad to intolerable. I had been encouraged up to this point to keep the Concierge service up to date and a replacement device would cost me much less having the Concierge service. I was charged $49 for a replacement device, even though their landing page on their site quotes $39 to get set up! But the real issue here I should have only been charged $17.95 having the Concierge Plan. I was in conflict with customer service, as they say I bought a "NEW" device, not a "Replacement" device! Are these people that thick in the head? The Latest in April 2020: Management said if I returned the device, (I pay for postage!), they would then disconnect that service and activate the old device (which I had thrown out) and then I could buy the "replacement" device after they refund me the amount of the "new" device. They still will not refund me $30! CROOKS! Total B.S.! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!

We have been overcharged multiple times for this service, we decided to use it for our home service and for my laptop so I can make calls when I am working in Costa Rica. Of course have to pay for International minutes to do so. Stopped working last year they managed to transfer the service from my laptop to my cell phone. Got home this year and my home system was totally dead. Have tried to get help and they give you a www.com address, they get you to pay $1 to sign up for the Just Answer service, then when you tell them your problem, in my case they wanted $39 to try to fix the problem. This company is so screwed up always sending bills and when I first bought the Magic Jack I bought a spare, never hooked it up never used it, but they started charging me for it despite my never activating it. They then locked the service on my computer until I paid more money. I have just paid and paid, and the phone now is totally dead and no help without paying some third party clown to work on it over the phone. I hung up, they are not scamming me for any more money for this crap service and no help at all when you have any problem or need help or a billing dispute. Do not sign up with these clowns.

Excellent communication, long lasting as well. More easier and accessibility use wise for computers without communications.

I've used Magic Jack for 5 years and have been disappointed all the while. It would work to an acceptable standard for a while AFTER I was forced to purchase a newer device. Then it would work well for 1 to 2 years and it would crap out. The App for the cell phone is junk. Calls would be horrible quality (cell or Wi-Fi) and I would have to disconnect to find another communication source. The service is NOT RECOMMENDED. Technical support is by chat ONLY and they will blame the configuration of your router or computer every time. "Go get a new phone or phone line, and we can continue the testing.", they say. They know the service is junk, and now you do too. Avoid MagicJack at all costs.

Bought product at Best Buy. Called MagicJack for help with the installation. Ported my home phone number to them. Could not get incoming calls. Called their service, and was told to CLICK ON CHAT. That meant typing your questions and waiting for the "expert" to respond. After about an hour 3 of my 4 phones seem to be working. Turned off the computer and all lines went dead. I had pre-paid for 2 years. Realized this product was not going to work for me. Called them again and was told there is no refund. Best Buy gave me a full refund. MagicJack in my estimation should be put out of business.
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Beverly (January 7th 2020) : I paid $160 something a few months ago to renew my Magicjack for 5 years. Not long after that I started receiving calls supposedly from them saying I would be getting a bill from another company for my service. I told them I didn't know who they were but I wasn't paying twice. They called every week until I told them I was going to turn them over to the authorities, then they quit. I only use my Magicjack to find my cell phone (which isn't often). Today I called and got a message I had chosen receive calls only. I tried to reach someone at Magicjack but had no more luck than I did when I tried to reach them about the scam. So I'm out over $164.00 and can't find any one to straighten out this mess.

Very poor service and flaky attitude. They send you to a tutorial, I as a newbie can't understand.
