I paid $155.00 for 5 years of service, which comes out to $2.58 per month for all calls in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Not a bad deal at all.

I use Magicjack for home phone service and have the app on 3 smartphones for use in WiFi hot spots. Between my wife and I we've been able to reduce our $200 monthly phone bills to approximately $300 a year. The VoIP service costs about $30 a year. Recommended for anyone that wants to cut down their phone bill.

I had magicjack for a year starting in early 2014 and renewed the service in early 2015 after having excellent service for the several months I had magicjack. In April, 2015 I could no longer make calls and worked with customer service to try to correct the problem. Magicjack customer service was AWFUL and showed little desire to retain me as a customer. I asked Norton Security to help and they evaluated the magicjack system connected to my computer. They were very helpful and after looking at different aspects of the problem, said the magicjack system is defective. It is January, 2016 and I have not been able to make a call on magicjack since April, 2015. My advice is to stay away from magicjack!

This device has no customer service.........absolute NONE! It started out 3 years ago as a reliable primary phone service for a retiree living on a frugal retirement plan of just under $2,000/mo for the rest of my life. But I need to have reliable services, which MagicJack seems to be unable to provide.....as they upgrade?

I've had my MagicJack for over 5 years and it has been good value. On occasion it is a bit twitchy as it can cut in and out as well as become garbled depending on where you're calling. My biggest complaint is that it no longer works since I upgraded to the latest Apple operating system OS 10.11.1 and MagicJack is not acknowledging the problem. They only say that they're working on it. There is no acknowledgement on their website. Furthermore I just renewed for 5 years at a cost of $120 and can't use my MagicJack until this is fixed. I would not recommend this until the fix for Mac OS 10.11.1 is completed.

I have had Magicjack for almost ten years and not many problems. Recently I can dial out, connect with my party and hear them very well......the BIG PROBLEM though is that they CANNOT hear me! Customer service is no help so far. My phone has been inoperable for several days and no help is in sight.

I say "No" if you are going to use it exclusively as your Home Phone. I have had MagicJack for several years but recently cancelled Home Phone service making MagicJack sole service. I updated my MAC computer and found MagicJack NOT COMPATIBLE! Have called chat line (only support) five times and they are aware of problem, however, management does NOT keep "support representatives" informed of progress. So if you get a critical problem with your service you cannot depend on "Support" for results. Management did NOT put out or has since made any briefing to their customer data base of the problem and how they are attempting its resolution. This is considered a critical fallacy in Management!

I renewed my contract for a year and suddenly my MagicJack stopped working. The customer service is so bad I was never able to get enough help to get it working again. I gave up and am going with another provider.

Its a great product but if you want to cancel service, forget it. There is no one to talk with. I had to report them to the BBB and contact my bank so I would no longer be paying them.

Was a breeze to set up and the price versus Vonage is no comparison. Do not understand why everyone has not dropped Vonage and regular landlines for this. Vonage is $10 to $20 per month and Magicjack is $20 per year! No brainer to me.
