Mango Voice was founded over 14 years ago in Utah. In its early days it offered wireless and fiber optic Internet services to businesses in Nevada and Utah but transitioned to cloud based phone services, with a specialized focus on dental offices, hotels and insurance agencies.
Handle all of your phone calls, faxes and text messages all inside the Mango Voice cloud based phone system. There are multiple ways to access your business phone system, for example you can use pre-configured desk phones from Yealink and Fanvil or use the Mango desktop Softphone Application that is available for Windows and MAC Personal Computers (PC). Mango's Go Mobile App is available in the Apple and Google App stores so you can take your phone system on the road with you. Full SMS and MMS (multi-media) texting is supported with your business phone number along with group text messaging and Internet faxing, all from your mobile or desktop App. You can design your call flows in the simple Mango Drag and Drop user interface. In this simple graphical editor you can add auto attendants, ring groups, call queues, voicemails, scheduling and much more.
Mango Voice has 2 plans to choose from depending on your exact needs, the Mango Essentials plan and the Mango Plus plan. The Essentials plan is the lower-end plan but still has a great feature set. It costs between $22.95 and $32.95 per user per month depending on the number of users you have in your business. You can save an additional $3 per user per month by signing up for Mango's annual commitment version of this plan. The Plus plan has everything that the Essentials plan has but adds SMS and MMS text messaging, Internet faxing, voicemail transcriptions and click-to-call at a cost of an extra $5 per user per month.
Mango prides itself on high reliability, offering 99.99% uptime, with built-in redundancy across 7 data centers throughout the U.S and no single point of failure. It also offers great U.S based customer support and you can reach them directly by phone, live chat, email, text or Facebook messaging. The support section of the Mango Website offers a good range of articles, guides, tutorials, FAQs and resources to help you get up to speed on features, integrations, desk phones, Apps and more.
Vertical market focus on three key industries, dental offices, hotels and insurance agencies. For dental offices, the Mango system integrates with most of the top Patient Engagement Services (PES) so you can receive screen pops when customers call you, showing appointments and payment history and is estimated to save 4 minutes per call on average. It also embeds click-to-call functionality and call analytics. On the hospitality side Mango has tools to handle wake-up calls, room service and even cleaning status for hotel rooms. Hotels using old landline technology can use Mango's hybrid VoIP solution to help upgrade to VoIP with minimal cost yet enjoying all the savings that VoIP offers. On the insurance side, Mango integrates with Pipedrive to determine which insurance carrier your customer has as soon as they call your phone number and efficiently auto-route calls to the correct insurance carrier when needed.
Over 60 high-end features to help make your business as efficient and productive as possible, including auto-attendants, queues, ring groups, call park, intercom, call recording, voicemail to email, conferencing, call analytics, call flow manager, faxing and numerous integrations, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRMs). A Mango consultant is available to help customize your solution should you need help at any time.
Mango also offers an enterprise offering with 100+ features including full call center functionality across multiple locations.
Unlimited calling is available to all users but it does not mention any reasonable use policies for unlimited minutes in its terms and conditions page, which is something most providers state.
Yealink appears to be the main desk phone manufacturer offered by Mango, though there are some Fanvil phones highlighted and the FAQ indicates that some Cisco phones are supported if you Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). If you already own other manufacturers phones you would need to buy new ones when you move to Mango Voice.
If you require SMS texting you need the Plus plan and the cost for this plan is a little on the high side compared to other service providers. However, you do get an impressive feature set for this price, especially if you are in one of the three main vertical markets that Mango targets.
Mango offers a very comprehensive phone service with an extensive feature set especially for those in the three main vertical markets that it targets. The pricing is reasonable and the ability to handle all of your communications using a desk phone, a PC soft phone or a cell phone App makes it a very compelling cloud based phone system.
