My experience with Nextiva has been well thus far. I've spent the majority of my career working for GE and I've never really worried about our phone system or services. I believe we used Avaya phones that rarely ran into problems or caused any issues. Furthermore my role did not require me to be on the phones very much. On a simple level, everything just worked when I was at GE. After retiring in 2009 I continue to do consulting work under my own business name and setting up a phone line was one of the first things I did. I like to be up to speed with technology and choice a voice over IP service provider in stead of a regular copper line. The company I signed up with for phone service was Aptela and used AT&T for my Internet connection. Getting the phone system setup and working for more than a day with Aptela was a nightmare. Quite frankly, this was not what I had expected to experience. Especially after all the great things the sales person told me about the technology and phone service. Shortly after joining the Aptela service, I moved my phone number to Nextiva and canceled Aptela. I kept my line with AT&T and I can confidently say that the difference between the two phone providers were night and day. Setting up Nextiva took less than an hour if I recall correctly and not once have I ran into any problems. In fact I continue to use their service along with AT&T and use the same Linksys SPA 942 desk phone. Most importantly, the customer service representatives at Nextiva are stellar. Everyone I've talked to has been pleasant and knowledgable. As a business owner that's been paying Nextiva for three years, I say it's a great phone company.

I lost about 50% of my phone calls for 4 months! The customer support is friendly but NEVER resolved ANYTHING and NEVER returns calls or FIXES ANYTHING.

With not having to deal with hold times when I call them and how the phones just work, I thing they are really good for my business. I signed up on July 11th so this review is early but from what I've experienced so far, the customer service and phones work well for me. I will write again if anything changes. But I am happy right now.

This Company has NO CLUE what they are doing. Calls drop constantly. We were given a completely new fax account one day OUT OF THE BLUE for no reason, and all of our old faxes stored in the system were lost. We were charged for service THREE TIMES in one month. Nobody in customer service knew why our calls were dropping, yet they kept telling me "it's probably a firmware issue". Every time. I emailed the company leadership. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. When we cancelled our voice service, we decided to keep the fax service. Without telling us, ONCE AGAIN, they gave us a new account, and all of our faxes in the system were LOST AGAIN! All the service people are friendly. But the company doesn't realize that friendly employees who have no idea whats going on do NOT equal good customer service. Save your business, go with another company. We chose Vocalocity. Very happy now.

This service is horrible, every other day i would come in to work only to find that my phones were no longer working and i would have to have a technician walk through trying to get them reconnected sometimes taking more than 45 mins per call. I am running a business and i dont have the time to waste on my cell trying to get my office phones up and running. The managers dont call you back when you request to speak with one, billing wont call you back when they say they will. I am so glad to be done with this service. Never issued me the credit on my bill that I deserved for the business I was losing, just horrible. Good luck in your search, but do not use this company.

Very happy with Nextiva. Have been using the service for a while with no issues. The one time we did see an issue it was related to the internet service provider making a change without telling us and Nextiva resolved the issue promptly. Took control of a desktop, changed a couple of settings and the issue was resolved without any pain. Recently upgraded to new IP phone option and the transition took less than a minute to change a mac address and boot a phone.

Been with Nextiva for over 4 years. I'm stupid for not changing early on, but I did not want to have any more issues by changing my VOIP provider, but now it's just really messing my business up. Every other month is either dropped calls or the Nextiva systems are down. Totally unreliable. And no, my dropped calls are not due to my connection as I have 6MB up and 3MB down for three phones/three computers. Way more than I need. I keep receiving excuses like they are in the process of upgrading, etc. etc. One weekend, my phone systems were down the entire time without me knowing until I received an email from my upset and frustrated client. Their excuse was that they were upgrading their systems and there was a glitch. VERY INCONSISTENT... I'm leaving to RingCentral to give them a shot.

I was using Ring Central's phone and fax service for over a year and everything was well until just a few months ago. Because my service with them would lose connection and I could not deal with their outages, I signed up for 8x8 and Nextiva to test a new phone company. Both 8x8 and Nextiva provided a good service and I'd recommend their service to nearly anyone, but my final decision was to go with Nextiva primarily for the cost. The service costs less and everything is in the US. i've only been a customer of Nextiva for less than a month. So far the phone and fax service they provide is good. I just need to see their reliability be greater than that of Ring Central.

This is one poor company. I started up with them in April 2011. Their salesperson confirmed they had no issues working with Comcast or AT&T U- verse, as we had both in different cities. They could work with NEITHER. It took a year for them to admit they need work-arounds. We bought special equipment they recommended for Comcast, never worked, so we gave up. Now that we've finally given up onthem, we can't get them to port our original lines back over, with the excuse they outsource that to xo. This is a joke. We've been waiting for weeks for the porting and get not cooperation whatsoever. I strongly recommend staying away from this group. BTW, the customer service people seem nice enough, they just don't correct anything.

A big mistake. Many problem in the last 2 months we had it. We will be moving to a different company but sine we found them through their great reviews online, I am curious to see how they got those reviews. Who can someone review 5 star to such a company? I am losing trust to any of the online review systems.
