This is a follow up to a review I did earlier, when I first joined Nextiva. The service was good when I signed up in November 08 and has still been great. I'm still using the same set of phones I purchased when I got setup and overall things have been working well. My position remains the same, I recommended them back when I first joined and I still would.

Fine once your account gets set up. But if you ever have to make the slightest change, expect customer service to screw thing up in a big way. And expect to spend hours on the phone with them. A verry disorganized company.

Continuous problems with certain callers getting a "This phone number has been disconnected..." Really embarassing, and still not fixed after almost 2 months after "ticket" created. Nextiva says it is a "carrier" problem, but that doesn't mean anything to me or my cusomters who cannot get through to me. Annoying delays in voice also that have never been fixed. Stay away unless you don't care if calls get through to you.

just getting ready to go live. great customer service. i have called numerous times to get help with the set up and i always got a service rep right away and they walked me thru all the necessary screens. located in US and their service reps all there also. I will update my ratings once i go live. but so far they are great to work with.

For the sake of doing it right I setup the VOIP service with a number of companies around the same time - Nextiva, 8x8, Vocalocity and Ringcentral and let the best provider win. Being a sales guy myself, I did not want to be sold and figured it's only right if I give each company a legit shot. Clearly with me writing this you know who won. Without skipping around I'll put it like this, Nextiva had the best customer service, online user interface and they just make me feel good. Pretty much every company met me at the same point when it came down to price. The only catch out of the 4 companies was that 8x8 wanted a contract if I decided to stay with them. Features they all were pretty much the same when it came to what I was looking for and the quality of the calls was good across the board. Since I'm not super technical but have some experience, I wanted to see who would guide me the best support when it came to the overall setup of service. Nextiva's ppl had it down, they were a pleasure to work with and super patient. I can't say the same about the others. Ringcentral's support was not close to what the sales guy told me and trying to cancel my account with them was a pain. Literally. I was told by two different ppl I'd get a cancel email shortly, but it took a total of three calls to actually make the cancellation happen. One thing that sealed the deal with Nextiva was that they kept in close contact with me on twitter. I said it earlier and the twitter situation is a good example about how I feel good using Nextiva. They got it down well and if you need phone service choose Nextiva. If you are thinking about using VOIP, do it. I travel all the time and taking my phone from city to city is great.

If you are used to the phone company repairing and servicing your phone the next day, Nextiva is NOT for you. A Nextiva customer is a patient customer. When issues are "escalated" to "Level 2" be prepared to wait at least a week before someone gets around to servicing your issue.

i would recommend nextiva for voice over ip phones. The features are not the top priority for me, price is. I pay $75 each month for my entire office. Great deal.

The reliability I get from Nextiva is one of many reasons why I think they deserve 5 bars. Customer service is prompt and smart - online control panel is good for my account management - monthly price is half the price I was paying with Qwest - Fax service coming to email has been very good for me.

Nextiva's service has been a godsend for my business. From the initial point of contact with a sales representative to five minutes ago when I called support to learn more about call forwarding, Nextiva has been unbelievable. The price is cheap and the service is better than companies that charge 8 times the price. Features and sound quality have been unreal (as in good). I give them five bars for all ratings. The value of Nextiva phone service is strong.
