I've had PhonePower for 25 months now. PhonePower offered the best value for the buck and it had an extensive number of features some of which I hardly use and some of which were a complete surprise (i.e. music on hold). I had no problem in ordering the service and the porting of my old number from AT&T Callvantage was so easy. I've had on occasion an issue or two; it took them a bit of time more than they had said, but they were informative and could explain well enough. The Sound Quality and Reliability were huge problems for me especially if the weather was really bad outside (excluding if the Internet was slow). In comparison to AT&T Callvantage, my previous supplier it was the crappiest so far. I could speak, but no one else could hear me or I would speak and it would sound broken up. My AT&T Cell phone had better sound quality and reliability than PhonePower. Regardless of where the ATA sat (inside or outside of the firewall), it did no good. Resetting seemed to be the only thing that'd work for a little while. Oh and the "unlimited" plan is really a 5000 minute limit, but for me that worked out well as I averaged about 2150 minutes per month and never even got close to the 5000 minute max. All in all, like I said in the beginning it's a good value ... 1 year prepaid and the 2nd year free calculates to $8.33/month, by far and to date the best value in town.

We've had Phone power for a year. The service is very reliable. You don't need a special phone and the cost is low. Nice features including a block list. Highly recommended.

I've been very pleased with how they have handled my account over the years. They just replaced my device for free and very quickly since it was getting on the old side. (I've had over three years) Tech support is on the ball and knows their stuff. Anyone I've talked to there has been very pleasant. The price is more than fair so you can't really go wrong!

I just cancelled one service as i have three accounts and they are asking for 99.95 plus shipping to return the adapter, This is deceptive as i was not informed for this charge in advance. I advice everybody to be careful from this kind of vendors as they should be more honest.

I had Lingo for several years, which was also decent, but the price slowly crept up so took advantage of 2 year offer for $199 through WhichVoIP (thanks!). Quick ordering process, quick delivery, quick setup, quick savings! Quality sounds great and I get 60 free minutes International each month. So far so good guys.

It was super easy switching to Phone Power. I wish we had sooner. Smooth number transfer and set up and the quality is spotless.

I rarely write in reviews about ANYTHING, but after viewing a couple of other reviews written here I felt that I should respond. First thing that you have to find out before ordering ANY voip service is to absolutely make sure the your ISP is giving you the service you are paying for. A lot of people said they had trouble with echos or long delays etc... and other complaints about the quality of their phone calls. I hate to break it to you, but most of the time this is NOT your voip's issue, but your ISP's lack of a qualitative internet connection. You should always check on any numerous websites (you can check here: http://www.whichvoip.com/voip/speed_test/ppspeed.html) about the quality of your ISP. If you're delay is more than 100ms, then you're going to have some issues with the quality of your phone call. These are the basics one should test before getting a voip line. I know that their prices seem great and you can really get hooked on voip plans and the amount of money your saving, but come on guys, let's use your brain. If your whole voip line is dependent on your internet connection, wouldn't it be wise to make sure that your ISP is in a sound, reliable state before signing up for any voip company? I'm not saying that all of these issues people are experiencing is all at the fault of your ISP, but rather that a little prior research can save you from endless headaches and waiting on hold for hours before having to speak to someone from customer support. That being said, I would like to give phonepower a positive rating. Even when I travel and I have to be in countries which still use an antiquated PPoE connection, I still have excellent phone quality. Whenever I do have an issue, it is usually solved through tech support (which is completely US based so that you don't feel like you have to give an English lesson every time you speak to customer support, which was the case with my previous voip company Vonage) with the waiting time not being long at all. I'm not saying that I never had issues with them, but I can say that they were all resolved. Nothing is perfect in life and they understand that also, which is why their tech support is very good. They were very fair and helpful with any issue that I had. All in all, I give them a positive review and hope that some of the things I've posted will help people in the future before they sign up for a voip company.

I have been using phone power for several months now. I had one issue where I could not dial an international destination, but customer service was quick to help me through the issue. I have nothing but positive things to say about the service.

We transferred our number from our long time landline service that was just becoming too expensive considering the alternatives out now. Long distance charges should not exist anymore and they don't with voip. It switched over without any downtime, which was nice. Not hard to set up. We also get a lot more features than with the landline like another line being available without paying extra. I say its a great service!
