I had and paid for the service for over a year, and could never get it to work. After a month or so of trying, I gave up. Then after I cancelled the service, they wanted to bill me for the "Free" VOIP box translator thingy and charger if I didn't return it within 30 days.

I had VOIP telephone service from Phone Power in both Florida and Massachusetts. They promise good service, renegg on their promises, and give you nothing but lip service indicating that the issues were my telephone service to the house. I brought 18 problems before the Massachusetts District Court whereby judgement was found in my behalf. They failed to pay since their office is in California, and this would have forced me to bring my judgment to California. After their failure to comply with the court, I now have a civil warrant for their arrest, but that too must be brought to Califoornia, and I can not afford further expenses. This company not only provided me with very poor service and use of my telephone in both MA and FL, but failed to fulfill promises and ultimately stole my money. Any person using their service outside of CA. would be subject to the same handling. Once they have your money, you are at their mercy whether they comply with their promises or not. My next step will be to notify any governmental agency about their practices. Folks be very careful about doing business with this company. They are ruthless, and will surely blame their ineptitude on your previous telephone supplier! They will not fix your services. Should anyone desire a copy of the court documents, I would be pleased to offer them appropriate copies!!

If you have a broadband connection theres really no reason not to use Phone Power. I did my research before buying and they were very competitively priced and people had plenty of good things to say about them in reviews. After using the service for a while now I'm happy to be one of those satisfied customers. Like others have mentioned, the free extra line is great and I brought my phone number with me for no extra charge. Theres no reason to pay more like I had been for years when you can get this service at these prices.

I've been with them for over two years now and haven't looked back. I haven't had to speak to customer service much during the course of our service, but recently when asking about renewal plans I was pleasantly surprised by both my options for renewal and the customer care I received from the billing rep. The reliability of the service and the fact they make me feel like they actually care about keeping my business will keep me a Phone Power customer for a while to come.

Since the service was connected I have been unable to make outgoing calls, I could not retrieve voicemail messages and people have reported that there is no answer when they call me. I have literally spent hours and hours on the phone with technical support. I decided to change my phone number hoping that would solve the problem but things only got worse. My order for new number ended up becoming a second line and I was double charged. When I contacted C/S I had a very rude woman who said it was my error and I would need to pay the double charge. It was finally resolved but I had to speak to her supervisor.I have tried two of their supplied headsets and neither worked. When the phone was functioning for outgoing calls there was a very bad echo or people would be unable to hear my voice. There technical support is excellent. They used remote access to try to correct the problems. And one support rep stayed three hours after they closed to try to fix one of the problems. I am cancelling my service as soon as I can set up new service.

We wouldn't use any other company for our phone service. Most companies stop offering things once they've got you as a customer, but not the case here. They send out newsletters periodically with new and mostly free features and I've always had a pleasant experience with them regarding customer service. Everything was clearly explained up front so there have been no billing surprises. We enjoy the free second line the most.

Service was great, until it stopped working. Then one day a call came in, and the caller couldn't hear us. This happened over and over again. We contacted tech support, and they sent instructions for us to do things that had already been done and were in place, so everything should have been working perfectly. But after six weeks, we terminated with them, and sent back their adapter. Then they billed us for $99, saying we terminated early. Well, their service wasn't working. Do we still have a contract if their service doesn't work? I say no, but the collection letters came regardless. I answered every single collection letter, but apparently no one can read at Phone Power. Now a collection agency in Minnesota is writing and calling (I've blocked their calls). I have responded to that letter, disputing the debt. Conclusion: Avoid Phone Power at all costs.

We moved and had to get a new phone service. After looking around we settled on Phone Power. They had a nice selection of numbers to choose from so we were able to get a new number. The hardware came about 4 days after ordering, very quick. The online account management is great. It lays out all your call logs for you and lets you toggle your service options yourself like for call forwarding. I?m very happy we looked into a new company and picked them. Its worked out stellar for us.

About 18 months into my two year commitment I started to experience problems. First there is an echo on my calls and more importantly calls are being missed because the phone will ring 2 or three times and when it is picked up the phone is DOA. I called tech support and a trace was initiated. I was told to record the date and time the next time the problem occurred. I called with that information and was told that my hookup was wrong. The system had been working for 18 months! I couldn't get any satisfaction so I am dropping Phone Power.

I got the combination pack they offer so I could use the travel adapter that comes in it. Both the main and the travel adapter have worked great. I've only used the travel adapter with the included headset, but I do see I can plug an actual phone into it as well if needed so I may try that out on the next extended trip I take. (Cant miss those business calls) Occasionally for work I will have to call other countries and this is the service to get for that. Most of my calls are under 2 cents a min.
