The biggest problem is the reset after there is a cable or DSL modem outage. The Phone Power device will attempt to make its connection again, but it tries more times than Phone Power's software allows. So I get "The device is not ready" messages on my phone, and I have to call or chat to get the device reset.

I've used Phone Power for a year and a half now and there have been no issues. The calls are all clear. Make sure you have a solid internet connection which you can test on their website (or here: http://www.whichvoip.com/voip/speed_test/ppspeed.html) and you'll be fine. The price is great compared to other services.

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING. READ FIRST AND KEEP SEARCHING FOR BETTER ONE. GOOD LUCK I took the phone power contract for 2 years because if I take two years, then 2nd year suppose to be free. Anyway, my 1st year, I didn't too much problem but 2nd year, I started to having all kind of problems, phone rings and when I pick up no sound, sometimes calls go directly to the voice mail, sometimes, it just ring one long ring. I've reset many times. Within last few months I've e-mailed about 5 times and talked to the customer service about 5 or 6 times. One time I've talked to the guy for almost an hour and he tried lot of different things. This is probably one of the worst experience with the internet phone service. I will not recommend this service to anybody. Before I had viatalk and that was bad also their customer service was bad too. Now phone power. Phone power customer service is ok but the service is bad so I am done with these two companies. Now I am looking for better service. THANKS FOR READING AND GOOD LUCK

These are the people to go with. They know their stuff and it works for a nice low price. I have no complaints about them, which was not the case with my previous voip provider so I have seen the positive difference in the switch. Glad to have gotten something that just works.

It was perfectly easy to set up for me and I'm no expert. Any pre ordering questions I had the customer support thoroughly answered and put me at ease. Its a better deal than a lot of other services out there and you don't have to sign a contract if you don't want to. Ample features for the average phone user like myself. I recommend it often.

Their softphone/zippy adapter will not work properly with IE9. Tech support will tell you to downgrade to version 8 and it bugs because none of this was stated on their website when I was ordering. What they don't tell you also is that if you are using wireless internet, which most people seem to be using, you have to configure several things in your wireless modem in order for it to work. Again, it doesn't state this on their website/manual/instructions. Had to chat with tech support several times over the last couple days and I have different techs telling me different things. One tells me to download the softphone from the website. Another then tells me to use the app that's with their zippy adapter. When using the zippy, your call recipient hears nothing but static. According to tech support, an IE9 issue. These guys really need to get things together and make their voip service easier to set up and minimize the hassles of getting it working.

Phone Power is awesome! Super affordable on our budget and it was easy to use even for me who is not so tech savvy. No more fights for the phone with our daughters since it comes with a second line. The staff is pleasant to deal with as well. Really a cut above other companies I've dealt with.

I have been with phonepower for 2 years. I took a chance and pre-payed for their 2 year new customer deal and I have not regretted my decision. The only thing I could even complain about is the fact that their service was down twice for a short time, that I know of, during the last 2 years. Tech support has been great. I have had some reliability problems initially but it turned out to be on my end. Tech support was very patient and helped me configure my router to work with their service. I also had a problem with two of their devices running at the same time on my home network (one for me and one for my mother-in-law). They were able to help be configure these devices as well. Not a single problem since. I recently decided to sign up with another VOIP company (ITP) to save a couple of bucks. What a disappointment. I quickly dropped them and decided just to stay with phonepower. They are worth the couple of extra $$$.
