A non-technical person at my company chose RingCentral to replace our very reliable POTS lines primarily for tracking call time of a new sales team. The reliability of the service is horrible, and getting technical support almost impossible. Their first line technicians know very little about networking. Getting a call back from someone on their "QoS" team is practically impossible. I was told they would call in the morning before 10AM from one of the members of their "QoS" team. They say they have 24/7 support, but no one with any networking knowledge besides, "Is the cable plugged in?" is available after 5PM their time. It's really 8x5 support on their network side. So we had a serious problem with calls losing all sound for 5-10 seconds at a time. This was happening every 20-60 minutes, and during live calls with customers and such. This happened to all the RingCentral phones we had--about 10 of them--and at the same time. This went on for about 5 weeks. We made many repeated attempts unsuccessfully at getting any support from them. Nothing on our network had changed with it start. Magically, and without intervention on our part, the problem appears to have stopped happening after about 5 weeks. We were never given a reason. We found many other users reporting the same problem without any resolution. RingCentral is highly unreliable, at least that's the experience I've had with my company. We are currently implementing an in-house solution. Also, this wasn't a WAN capacity issue, we have a full gigabit fiber Internet connection in this office, to AT&T no less. Avoid these guys like the plague. Any cost savings we would have gotten were more than lost by the cost of our in-house Network Engineers wasting their time on this problem.

Very knowledgable and helpful when you call for support! The sales process always goes smoothly, it is when you have a problem that you separate the good companies from the bad. My first challenge was met by a helpful support person who was able to resolve all of my issues immediately!

The Rep I spoke with was very courteous, I didn't feel rushed and she answered all my questions with ease and had a good amount of knowledge to offer.

I would like to see the Ring Central Mobile App. include call conferencing. As far as customer service and issue resolution you are the gold standard.

Excellent service - they have been there to help me with any problems I have had. The phone quality is no different than a hard line telephone, and forwarding to my cell is simple. We have had no problems at all with Ring Central

This was an extremely easy conversion for me from start to finish. The cost was a huge determining factor and customer service was a bonus!

I just got RingCentral set up for a client in Southern California. Initially, I was hesitant to do the project as this was a vendor that the client recommended they wanted to work with. After speaking with their SE guy, I was really impressed with the solution and ease of managing the system. They setup was amazingly quick and the preconfig phones arrived as they indicated. The client has been raving about their phones and conferencing solution that I felt I needed to provide my feedback on here. Again, I definitely feel that RingCentral by far has the best solution out there.

So I hate having to call them over and over and over again to have them to do what they said they would do. The billing and credit process is horrible and to this day I am not receiving the credits promised and owed!
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
S. Peterson (Oct 15th, 2014) : We have been a user for over two years. The system is way over complicated. The calls don't go where they are supposed to. The pricing advertised is never ever close to what it ends up being once they add up all the unmentioned expenses. Leaving as quick as possible when contract is up. Two (2) phones, over $90 per month for nothing special.

We switched over to RingCentral less than one month ago. Our service rep explained the service not totally honestly. He stated that if we needed extra extensions that did not require a direct dial in line that there was no cost for it. LIES! After switching and using this service for less then one month we needed to expand our offices as we have offices all over Canada. Now we are being charged for each and every extension $29.99 per month. MUCH higher than any PBX service that even our local landline telephone company would charge us. When setting up our new office and getting my head office extension to ring to a new phone at the new office they disconnected the head office line. Once I noticed this one of there techs promised it would be fixed the next morning before I returned to the office. Two days later I am now back in head office with NO phone in my office for my receptionist to send calls to. So I now have to resort back to my cell phone. Their Response Team calls me this morning to inform me that if I want my Head Office extension to work I must pay another 29.99 per month for this phone. RingCentral will bend you over and stick it to you when ever they can. I ever purchased two (2) new receptionist phone from them to handle my business. NOW LOOKING FOR A NEW VoIP Carrier that does not screw people over!

Customer service people will tell you anything and do nothing? Two weeks and they still have not set up my ATA adapter. Several promises to call back, none actually called back at all.
