RingCentral provides great customer service and excellent tutorials for non savvy consumers. The online interface is extremely intuitive and the overall quality of service is outstanding.

RingCentral recently (April, 2013) completed an "upgrade" to their system. They did this without warning their current customers, and the upgrade did not go smoothly. Within about a month, they've repaired most of the bugs that I found, but with their "enhancements", they removed at least one feature that was vital to our business. I am now seeking a different vendor.

Comment by L-E-T on 7/17/2013 : We have been a RC customer for a long time and have recorded 2 commercials for them. We too were slammed by their unannounced "upgrade" to their system. I completely agree that the upgrade did NOT go smoothly. We missed a number of calls and worse yet, spent hours trying to rework account with the new interface after the upgrade. In one word the new interface at RC was horrid! We could NOT find our way through any of the new menus and that alone cost us hours upon hours of wasted time. That is the bad news.
Now the good news. Each time I have called RC I have gotten all the help I need to resolve an issue. I recall one particular instance where our 800 number was so similar to a Dancing with the Stars number that we were being inundated with calls. The RC rep helped me rework our settings and gave us a 100 min. credit to help us through.
Some sad news. Today we are experiencing RC woes again. The RC website interface has been improved and is now more user friendly but our inbound calls are not ringing to our phones. RC cannot explain the bug. Lets face it... when your 800# doesn't ring you've got a pretty big problem.
I don't know what is wrong with RC, but I do know that we had a flawless VoIP system until they "upgraded". I am not at the point of looking elsewhere for a VoIP provider but I hate having to monitor RC to ensure that we are receiving calls. I hope that posting my comments here will call attention to two things:
1. The RC upgrade produced a horrid result 2. RC still provides excellent "live" telephone support.

As a former Accessline user I think Ringcentral is a great value, the response time for faxes is excellent and the Customer service reps have been very helpful when it comes to any questions.

I love the texting options that have become available, the ability to send and receive faxes. I wish there was a voice conversion to text/email for voice messages received so I could scan the email and see if it's something I need to listen to right away or that can be put off. I really love the ease of expansion and the ability to connect to my smart phone with the app.
