Do not trust your salesperson or manager that follows-up. If it sounds like a great deal, it's probably not. Downtime is 1-2 days per month, and tech support is mediocre. Installation is a painful process that takes much longer than promised. Despite their representations, their online portal cannot do what they say it can. After multiple attempts to work out a reasonable solution to fix the misrepresentations by their salesperson, a senior executive in the company concluded that absent written proof of fraud, we are stuck with their absurd terms. That speaks volumes to the company's business model.
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Lonnie (October 11th 2018) : We had the same experience and are stuck in a contract. We would never recommend doing business with this company!

We have contracted with Spectrum for a little over a year, and have had a poor experience from the beginning. The sales representative sold us on the trial period, which ended up being very difficult to get out of because of the complicated set up and dismantling that would have been required. He also sold us on the app features for smart phones, as all of our providers rely on their phone for calls, texts, etc and we needed a reliable app. This turned out to not be available, and the installation tech actually said the sales departments often say whatever they need to say to make the sale, true or false. For the majority of our time with Spectrum we have experienced dropped calls, our phones going offline for hours without reason, poor customer service, hearing from clients they have left voice messages or attempted to call but having no record of missed calls or voicemails, and poor signal. Every customer service agent blames the internet signal or reports seeing no problem on their end, being unable to resolve the problem, or apathetic about helping. We ended up locked into a 3 year contract, which we all wish we would get out of everyday.

Lies from sales dept, just to sign you up. Hidden fees and bad serves. The system always goes out. Spectrum VoIP is not dependable or reliable when you are running a business.
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Doug (April 24th 2017) : Hi Farmer's Agent, what are the hidden fees Spectrum VoIP spring on you? I've been researching VoIP providers, and would love to know what fees they are charging that they might not be upfront about. Thanks!

SpectrumVoIP is costing my business money, every day, all day long and no one will address my problems. They have no way (and apparently no interest) to analyze a business problem. We have been with them for more than a year. We are still experiencing dropped calls every day. Try to find an address for them. You can't. The address will be Plano or Irving with no street address. You call their (non technical) number and you cannot speak to an operator. It will loop you all day long to "Press 1 for Sales", "Press 3 for billing" and so on for 8 numbers but you will never speak to an operator. If I have a single problem with a single number or phone or feature, they can address that. But my business is losing money because they cannot fix dropped calls; or calls that go off into some strange recording; or phones that simply go dead for a while.
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Jamey (September 24th 2015) : Try typing help on your phone (spell it out with your buttons) this will take you straight to SpectrumVoip's support department which will gladly address any issues you are having.
Skip (February 2nd 2016) : I concur with your review. They ported our numbers without permission during a temporary review period, during which they NEVER solved the problems. THEN they held our numbers hostage refusing to send them back to the provider that we continued to pay for during the temporary evaluation period. They are billing us for services and equipment we did not buy nor want, and they continue to violate FCC rules. My advice is to avoid them like the plague.

Happy with the service offered by Spectrum VoIP. The customer service always seems to be available when I need them, though it is rare I do need them. Pricing is quite good and the features are decent, though I don't need most of them as I have fairly basic phone needs.
