I highly discourage anyone from using Verizon Internet. We have had continual issues with our service over the past few years and spent countless hours on the phone with technical support often with the same issue occurring days later. On two occasions we had to have a technician come to our home to service the line. They expect you to be available and home from work for the entire day as they say they will come between something like 8am and 5pm. To top it off they frequently allege having no record of our previous calls and have no respect for the customer. Today they accused me of lying about a credit to my account that was promised last Wednesday when I spoke to technical support. They actually claimed my line was working despite the fact that a new modem was sent to us on Thursday.

I had multiple prob w/ the service- it kept charging for data when it wasn't even turned on. Service is terrible - Verizon expects you to keep problem solving even when you've tried everything - they say "well - I have no idea why this isn't working - I'm grabbing at straws but let's try this..." I easily spent 5-8 hours a month trying to get the service working. Run - don't walk- from this Provider

Verizon service is exceptional. I have not yet experienced any problems with their system. Consequently, I do not know what else to say.

This is the worst service i have ever used, i would rather rub 2 sticks together inthe woods, to start a fire for 6 hours than wait 30min. For my internet to boot up well enough just to open my home page... I cant stand the amount of time it takes for the internet to catch up and load so i can use my computer.... Its slow its unreliable, and im so angry with this software i will never recommend, i will never say good things, & i will never ever use again even if offered the best fir life for free in writing by the director or ever ceo of the company... @&)? Verizon Fios worst service in all of the united states, not even worth the price...

If there were no stars I would give no stars. I have been with cox, AT&T and several other Internet companies and I have NEVER had a worse experience than verizon! Straight up LIED to get my business. I was told I was getting Internet for 34.99 no buddles whatsoever, free modem, waived activation fee as well as a 50 visa gift card for starting service. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY OF THE PROMISED and my first bill was almost 200$. I called, spoke to a supervisor and explained the situation. They refused to honor what the rep had said despite the fact that they record all phone conversations and could easily review mine and know that that representative LIED TO GET MY BUSINESS. She offered to give me a 10 dollar credit every month for te next 12 months and after all the frustration I settled so i paid 43.99 every month for the next four months. On the fifth month, I called because I had not received my adjustment and the first rep I spoke to was just plain useless, and rude. Despite how frustrated I was she kept trying to convince me to open a phone line with them and it got to the point where I screamed I had to scream at her and tell her that I was NOT interested in a phone (she literally asked me 4 times like I'm an idiot or something). I told her she wasn't being helpful and I wanted to talk to a supervisor or a a manager. I waited on the line for 45 minutes to talk to another useless representative who also refused to honor the 10 dollar credit I was promised and even admitted to me that there was a note on my account saying that I was owed that credit adjustment every month. Bunch of liars and robbers of my money! Needless to say I am NEVER, EVER going to give another penny of mine to this worthless company!!!! And never in hell would I recommend verizon to anyone that I know. AVOID AT ALL COST. Aside from all that, my Internet did not work 60% of the time and they did nothing to help me fix it. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!

I really really dislike the receiving internet service from Verizon. Also I am on a $50 a month plan and the first two months my bill was $125. I was told it was for rental of the modem and delivery. You are better off picking up modem. Verizon charges you $69 to mail you the modem and materials to set up internet. Additional to the cost to rent modem. IF YOU CAN, AVOID VERZION

constantly goes from "connected" to "Limited" connection. I pay $50 a month to be online, can be online 10% of the time. it isn't worth $10...I call support, all they want me to do is restart computer, take battery and simcard out of the device over and over. I am OVER it.

There should be a way to end the monopoly residential Internet companies, because in my area only Verizon has service and you can not even choose the FiOS speed because is not available so that the most they offer is 3mbs which compared with other companies is suck.I've been with the company for about 7 years, first my credit card expired and I did not notice it, so they could not continue extracting monthly payments and no communication sent me by phone or email or by e-mail to me, and they waited three months to send me a super bill with fees and penalties, when I phoned to see what happened, for 5 days straight I was calling them and talk to over 17 represntantes and supervisors at last fixed my problem, some time ago I noticed that my speed was down and talk with representatives today in a chat and was told that I had 1mbs instead of 3mbs and I asked them who and why change my speed and I was transferred to more than 5 representatives like a hot potato and I had to close the chat because they said the wait time was 14 mins, I am ashamed of this company and then all the frustration of having to stay with them because there are no other options

We recently moved and I had to set up new service where I live. Where I used to live I had Verizon Fios service. Right before we decided to move, I signed a 2 year contract with verizon as part of a deal that they were promoting. So when I called Verizon to set up service at my new house and I found out that they did not offer fios where I live, I was a bit worried about what service I was going to get if I didn't want to pay the $190 early termination fee. What I found out was definitely ridiculous. Apparently, they do not offer tv service where I live, but instead have a contract through Directv. They wanted me to get directv so that I wouldn't have to pay the early termination fee. However, we rent our home and we would need landlord approval for directv, which we do not have. So we're stuck. The only way to avoid the fee would be to set up internet and a home phone, which I actually did not want to have because we never use our home phone. After a 16 day waiting period to get service, verizon came out and installed a home phone and DSL internet, which is painfully slow. I think I had faster internet in 1996. I might as well use my slower than dirt internet connection to order some Spice Girl Concer Tickets and platform shoes to go along with my internet connection because it feels more like it's 1997 than 2013. And I have no tv. I will have to call Comcast and try and get it from them. Actually, I'm probably just going to bite the bullet and pay the early termination fee and get everything through comcast if they have better service available because what I have now is so antiquated and impractical. I have no idea why fios wouldn't be available. I live 20 minutes outside of Philadelphia in a busy suburb... it's not like it's a remote location. My mom has fios 10 minutes away. And one of the main tv companies only offering tv from another tv company... and one that uses a dish? Come on. Pathetic.

Two years ago, when I switched to Direct TV, I got Verizon for internet service. I got internet and home phone, since the cost was the same. The phone service has been spotty at best, becoming totally dead before the holidays. The internet service was OK at first, but has also deteriorated over time. The wireless router has stopped working and service is now only intermittent. It took me the better part of an afternoon to reach a real person and have a sensible conversation. Well, the tech. came out today. He tells me that the repair is going to be at my cost (starting at $150) because it's in the wire running from the box to the place that it inserts into my exterior wall. This is all exterior wire. I say, "But that wire was installed by your technician." He says it doesn't matter--they're not going to take responsibility for it. It took a week for their repair person to come out. Let's see how long it takes for a new internet Co. to get service to me.
