WILDBLUE REVIEW: 3 things to know: 1. Your usage is metered, and the meter is meaningless. It doesn't actually monitor your usage; it's there to make sure they can sell you MORE usage for an outrageous price. No matter what plan you pick, no matter how much you use, that meter will max out every couple of months and they'll try really hard to sell you more (at $10/GB which is pathetically high). The last time it happened to us, they claimed we used 25GB in less than 3 days (which isn't physically possible - I'm a network administrator and have been for a long time, so I actually know how to calculate this). 2. The speed they claim is an arbitrary, meaningless number meant to sell you on this garbage. They claim 12MBs - you'll get more like 1Mbs, on a good day. I have all the screenshots to prove it. Also, the speed fluctuates wildly and it will often be much slower than DSL for extended periods. When I complained about this, I was told it wasn't their problem. And don't worry, there are plenty of escape clauses in their contract that insure they don't actually have to provide any speed whatsoever. 3. It's all contract-based. If you want it, you have to sign on for 2 years. If you cancel, they charge you for the rest of the contract (and, by the way, it's taken out of your account automatically). No way out, I'm afraid. Bottom line - don't fall for this garbage.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: After 3 weeks of hell and 4 different service calls trying to get hooked up in which they gave me a bad modem which burned up the transducer on the satellite dish and my new computer which the outfit I bought it from replaced it free of charge they finally after I demanded it did a whole new set up from the dish, wire and modem etc. especially since I was not demanding a new computer. about 2 months after that I tried to go to a plumbing supply site castle wholesale and Wild Blue Exede will not let the site come up. 6 months and over 25 phone calls later during which time I had to prove it was their satellite not my computer and being told everything from give them a few days to fix the problem to for me to call castle wholesale server and tell them the problem (can you believe they are my provider and they wanted me to call) it is still not fixed. In over 74 yrs of dealing with all kinds of companies this is the first time I ever had to say a bad review about any of their customer service. By the way when I asked them to put me back on their old Wild Blue I was told that they can't do it. They neglected to tell me that when they were signing me up cause I never would have done the switch to their so called high speed internet. Think about it your service can't be that bad to use them as your provider unless you like hearing a smoke screen instead of results.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: Run away from this company as fast as you can!!! Customers can expect slow to non existent connections. Mine goes for days without being able to connect.Forget about customer service. Most times they will not even answer the phone. When you do get connected the downloads are slower than dial-up. If you look at any videos on youtube you go over the limit. I bought the PRO package, which is a rip off. We go over all the time and about the only thing i do is e-mail and a little web surfing, when it doesnt drop my connection. When you go over your limit you cannot even connect for at least a month or more. But they will yank the money out of your account in a heartbeat. It wouldn't be so bad but i am paying $90.00 per month for crap!!!

WILDBLUE REVIEW: Broadband is not available in my area. We cannot even get cell signals. Satellite was our only choice. The speed is usually about half or less of what was advertised. Weather is a problem with connection. My internet will go off before my TV (satellite) does. I wanted it looked at,but the charge is $95.Also the sales person said we could use voip, but the ping is way too long for that. I don't use or like their email program. The website is a hassle to navigate. But it's better than dial up.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I definitely would NOT recommend this service. We are in a rural area and looking into other providers, however, they are few and far between. We have the "upgraded" residential plan. Yet if we try to download anything, such as a song or short video, it puts us over our data limit and we are completely locked out for the next 2 weeks. A browser window will not even open. It is the worst service I have ever had. I have considered moving just to have a better isp.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I have been calling about slow service for almost two years. I finally got someone on the phone that would send a tech out instead of telling me to check speeds in the middle of the night when nobody uses the internet. He shows up with a short ladder after I told the tech that he needed at least a 40 foot ladder to reach my roof. No repairs were completed and I still get billed for a service call. After he leaves he called and stated that they would not be sending another tech out because I am close to getting the minimum speed. This is after he told me while he was here that I should be getting twice the speed that I am getting Any company that works on providing minimum service should not be in business. I would never recommend them to anyone. Very disappointed!

WILDBLUE REVIEW: BEWARE! Sales person will tell you what ever you want to hear in order to get you to sign, then the very first week you will recieve an email from them stating you have reached your data usage, but when you call they will say dont worry those emails dont mean anything, then the next month they slow down your severvice and NEVER increase it, you are unable to use NETFLIX or any video streaming. I have called customer service only to be told that I can double my bill but they can not gaurantee that this will not continue to happen. In order to get out of your contract you have to pay TONS Of money!!!! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!! DONT WALK RUN DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!

WILDBLUE REVIEW: Wildblue are bandits. I've never been this upset with anyone as I am with these people. Knowing full well that satellite was never going to equal DSL or Fiber when I signed on but I never thought it would be this bad! The speed has never ever been anywhere as promised, one cloud in the sky and the thing goes down but the TV still works.Their FAP policy is a joke and it gives them the right to take your money for full service when you're only receiving about 10 percent. Don't count on any help from them either trying to pinpoint why your usage suddenly jumps. I'm PO'd enough right now to go back to dial up.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I would never recommend Wildblue to anyone. Coming from dial-up, i thought it would be a good switch. Was I ever wrong. The sales guy completely lied to me to get me to order this. He told me that satellite internet had been fixed and there was almost no latency. When he was done installing the wires and router, I was trying to install my wireless router. He left as fast as he could, saying thats not part of his job. I had no clue how to do it, as it was my first time leaving dial-up connections. You dont have routers or anything with that. I ended up having to call them multiple times, finding out that I had to set up the wireless router to go through some proxy server to get it to even work. The service I received when it started working was a joke. Loading small websites such as hotmail.com and yahoo.com and google.com would take just as long as dial-up would take. I checked my ping and there was a 3.6 second delay on everything going in and out. So, with their so called "Fixed satellite", its going to sit there for almost 4 seconds without receiving any information. Thats a joke on its own. And when it started actually loading, the speed was nothing about what they would talk about. The maximum i could download at was 40 kb/s, and thats on a good day. If its cloudy outside, forget even using the internet. Any blockage of the sky would result in my service not working at all. I called them and asked about it and they pretty much told me oh well, thats what satellite internet does.. So for all the winter months of the year, forget about being able to do anything important on the computer. After the contract was up, I canceled them. They called me three months later, saying that I owed them a month worth of service still.. I told them theres no way that is even possible, I was paying for my service for a month in advance. So when I paid my bill on 4/15, it was good from that date to 5/15. They looked around their billing system and found the mistake. The mistake was, I overpaid them and they owed me a month of service back. They told me they would write a check and send it out in the mail right away. I thought it was funny how it went from me owing them me them owing me. Feels like they tried to pull a fast one on me there. It has been over 6 months and still no check in the mail. I keep receiving calls from them every morning, which wakes me up, and when I answer, theres no one there. I know it is there number, as I found it online. I would never recommend this service to anyone, ever! If you have recently signed up, I would find a way to cancel and back out of the contract because your paying way too much for the equivalent to dial-up internet, although dial-up wont go out on you when it gets cloudy outside.
