WILDBLUE REVIEW: Wildblue takes advantage of people with limited internet options. They charge ridiculous prices for terrible customer service & slow to no connection, then they have the nerve to slow down your turtle pace connection

WILDBLUE REVIEW: Do NOT subscribe to Wildblue (now Viastat) you will regret it. I was with them almost five years, service was terrible, so they convinced me to upgrade to their newest options, and it got worse. lost internet service on 8/30/12 and they told me it would be 60 days or MORE before a tech would be sent out. I told them to cancel the service and I had Hughesnet installed the same day.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I just recently moved out into the deep country and it was either WildBlue or Hughes Net. WB promised 12 mbps speeds and said that this service was excellent for gaming. I see my speeds at a constant 3 mbps and sometimes deep below 1, and gaming on it was beyond morbidly terrible. Not to mention it's "Free time" of 12 am-5 am still tacked on to our useage. A lot of smoke and mirrors but overall, mostly broken promises.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I had hughesnet for 2 years with horrible speed the whole time. Wildblue with the surfbeam II modem is much faster, but works in spurts. In other words, there is still a lot of latency with ping times over 1 second, but when the data comes it can come very fast. So when you surf to a webpage...count to three, then boom, it comes all at once. The major problem with wildblue versus cable or dsl is that the caps are extremely low. With ATT dsl I was capped at 150gb/month, and wildblue is capped at 7.5 gb/month. So it has the speed, but you can't use if for anything, because if you watch a netflix and a few youtubes you've blown your FAP and then operate at a crawl for the rest of the month. Therefore, their speed advertisement is very misleading. Imagine buying a porsche and only having a 100 ft driveway to drive around in. It's a similar situation. The speed is useless because if you use it for anything you get FAPPED. Wildblue on the surfbeam is better than hughesnet, but both are far worse than anything else except dialup. Unless you have no other alternative, go with something else. Wildblue and Huguesnet are only for people with no other choice and don't let anyone tell you differently. I'll end by saying the customer service is a zero on the scale of 1 to 10. If you feel like you need to call wildblue customer service, just hit yourself in the head with a hammer. That will feel better than a conversation with their arrogant, ignorant staff.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I've had this internet contract for 19 months now, meaning that I'm nearing the end of my two year contract with Wild Blue. my average speed ranges from 0.9-1.2 Mbps Download speed and 0.04-0.06 Mbps Upload speed, tested and recorded weekly. With the internet being so slow, I'm unable to use Skype Calling; can?t watch video on YouTube, no games on Facebook, hard to open picks on FB. Sometimes buffer on Pandora music, never work when it rains. This is my honest testimony of my experience with Wild Blue's "SUPPER" fast internet.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: Support next to impossible to reach. Lied about reduced speeds after reaching monthly limit. If you use the internet a lot find a different service. Reduced speed is: download 453 Kb/s upload 13 Kbs. most sites will not even load at this speed. Stuck in a 2 year contract now. Have to sign contract before you can try it and no way out but $15 per month for unused contract. $330.00 for early termination for 22 months.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: Ordered service at the end of June. Was charged for installation and 1st months service but have yet to be given an installation date. Customer Service agents seem to take a particular delight in not answering my questions. Phone calls are never returned as stated. Don't use this company.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: No customer service. Wants money though. This company is very unreliable. Cannot provide service in a timely manner, and in Idaho, not at all. However they want your money. STAY AWAY from them.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: I have the most expensive plan I can purchase. $88.90 a month. It's too slow to even load YouTube videos without stopping more than playing. Loading takes forever. And heaven forbid if you use more than your allowance of GB,s You get slowed down to a speed so slow it is useless, for the rest of the month. I could barely tell the difference from either of the 3 packages I used.

WILDBLUE REVIEW: There are numerous problems with this internet provider. 1. When the brute came out to install the satellite, he sat out back and had a cigarette break. Fine. But he left the cigarette in my yard. I picked it up and trashed it after he left. Then, as he was drilling through my wall and making a mess, he knocked an ornament off my bookshelf and broke it. I stood by the door and watched him pick up the broken ornament and stuff it into the bookshelf, out of view. Being 8 months pregnant and alone in the house, I wasn't going to approach him about it. 2. Wildblue's internet speed makes me pine for dial-up. The speed is intensely slow. I've used all sorts of internet services since 1997. Wildblue's is the worst I have ever encountered. 3. Customer service is laughable. 4. They stick you in a 2-year contract and then screw you over if you complain about their lack of service. I am paying for internet that I cannot use. These crooks need to be taken to court over this. I am looking forward to getting rid of Wildblue in the next month or two - whenever I know I have enough in my bank account to cover whatever the cancellation fees are. I've only had this service for 6 months. I hate them.
