I've had Viatalk for almost 2 weeks.. Signed up with the 1yr+1yr free plan. Have to reboot adapter almost daily, Incoming calls are muffled ,Caller Id is 2 hours ahead. Been trying to get all this fixed for the entire time I've had it. At times when I call my number, when it is answered its static and loose my phone light and have to reboot. I had heard many good things about Viatalk before signing up.. But haven't experienced any good things.. Not Very Reliable is my experience with them.

So far, I'm really pleased. After reading all the reviews for Voip, I settled on Viatalk, my first Voip service. It took a week to ship, and really was easy to set up. I didn't have any ethernet ports open on my cable modem, so I plugged it into my wireless router and it works great. I have a Verizon cellphone, and get terrible reception from my house, so this is great. It has sounded just like a land line, and I've have no interruptions so far. ( I've had it less than a week, so if things change, I'll let everyone know). I haven't used customer service for anything yet. I live in Denver, if anyone is trying to compare areas for service.

I found ViaTalk on the internet after being tired of ATT etc, constantly raising my local phone rate. I've never written a review before but I just LOVE my new ViaTalk. For a woman I had a couple minor problems setting up the wireless router but the customer service was exceptionally helpful. They stayed with me all the way through setup and it's so nice that they speak english. I paid $199/yr plan. How can I go wrong with the cost. And I get all the terrific features. I've not had the dropped calls or other problems that some mentioned. Of course, any new technology will have a few quirks that need ironing out but if any come along, I'll just say that it's well worth it for the price. Customer service is better than I've had with ANY product in recent memory. So far I can only say positive things about the voice quality, the superior service and excellent features. The only thing I'm still looking for is a hard copy of the calling features and which button does what. I'll have to make my own I guess. Go ViaTalk. VOIP is the wave of the future phone service.

I first had Vonage and I was unhappy with their service. I was unable to receive calls. I called Vonage three times and they could not correct the problem. I researched Viatalk and found that they were one of the top rated Voip services. I signed up with Viatalk and received my equipment in 5 days. I initially had problems receiving calls and the calls would go to a recording. I called Viatalk and they were able to fix the problem within 24 hours. Viatalk told me that they were upgrading their phone lines and some of the old lines did not transfer over. Customer service was very helpful, and I could understand them, unlike Vonage who has customer support in another country. I would recommend Viatalk to everyone and their service is excellent.

I really enjoy the excellent VoIP service from ViaTalk. The support staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Although I have experienced 2 outages, ViaTalk ensured that they kept their customers abreast of the situation. The features offered by ViaTalk are great and for the price of their service I give them a THUMBS UP! I recommend ViaTalk to anyone considering dumping their land line phone service. KEEP UP THE OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!!

Took 35 min to get a sales person. Stayed on phone for 1 hour and 5 min for tech service. Shipped everything back and went with SunRocket.

I tried service with ViaTalk due to a recommendation from a friend. This service is the unbearable, Dropped calls, Registration loss, Choppy sound. Their tech support is irritable and not technically savy. They either pass buck or don't know what they are talking about. Funny thing is my friend who recommended the service canceled them recently, due to poor customer/tech service. Stay Clear.

I normally never write reviews but since I referred to this site a lot before ordering our service I feel as though I should tell you how much I LOVE Viatalk. We have not had any "down time" with our service. Their site is so easy to use and I love that I can get emails with the message attached so that I can listen to my messages anywhere. I have never had the echo effect. A friend uses lingo and I actually hate calling her on the phone because of the echo. There has been one time when I heard a weird, annoying, soft sound over the line and I switched from using a cordless to the old fashioned corded phone and it cleared up. I lived in NYC during the east coast blackout and learned from that experience that we should always have a corded phone as a backup...considering I was also in labor at the time. :) Anyhow...I can not say enough good things about Viatalk. I am really pleased with our service.

I've been looking for VoIP for some time, mainly for the cost savings. Viatalk seemed like a good deal. It was easy to order and setup the sound quality is as good as my landline (which I am just about to get rid of and switch to cable - save the $20 I pay for a line rental that I no longer need). I've never had to call customer services so I gave them a 3. I've read a lot of complaints about people not realizing the charges they would owe, I recommend that you get the month to month plan and upgrade to the yearly plan if you are happy with the service. I now get phone service and cable internet that is much faster than my DSL and still save money - it doesn't get much better than that!
