VoiPLy Review by WhichVoIP
Founded in 2012 and head quartered in Pittsburgh, PA, VoiPLy has been providing low cost phone service to over ten thousand residential and business customers.
The Good
VoiPLy has very competitive pricing for both residential and business phone service. Pricing on the residential side starts at $8.95 per month but can be reduced to
$7.16 per month with their annual pre-pay plan. Its small business plan starts at $13.95 per month per user.
All plans have unlimited calling for the US, Canada and over 50 other countries. Outside the 50 countries, rates are very competitive and you can purchase International phone numbers starting at $4.95 per month.
Support is entirely based in the United States and 24/7. The system reliability is an impressive 99.999% due to its redundant architecture.
When you order your adapter on-line from VoiPLy it is free of charge and will arrive within 2 days. There is no setup fee and number porting is also free. On the business side, the basic work horse phone
is also free but upgrade options are available for more advanced phones or WiFi cordless devices. The VoiPLy smart phone App is free to all customers so you can take your service on the road and it also supports SMS.
The residential and business services offer rich feature sets. The residential plan includes voicemail to email, 3 ways conferencing, caller ID and call waiting, in total over 20 included features. The business
plans include over 50 features and adds features such as audio and video conferencing, ring groups, Internet fax and much more.
VoiPLy has some add-ons that may be useful such as the Nomorobo App to block nuisance Bot calls. They are continually updating this side of their business. Some noteworthy recent additions include wake-up calls,
call queues, paging, upload call recordings, joke integrations as hold music, call queues and many others.
You can find a lot of really good support documentation in the form of articles and videos on their Website. This is always a good sign and allows the more technical customers to find solutions without needing to
call VoiPLy each time.
The Bad
There are no Terms and Conditions on the VoiPLy website. Normally the T&Cs state things such as reasonable use policies with respect to unlimited minutes and other items such as preventing
Telemarketing type services on their network. It is rather surprising this is not in plain view on their website.
The Bottom Line
- Residential Plan: $8.95/month but as low as $7.16/month with the annual pre-pay option. Unlimited calling US, CAN and 50+ countries.
- Business Plan: $13.95/month/user. Unlimited calling US, CAN and 50+ countries.
- Free adapter (residential) and free phones (basic business phones).
- Free setup and porting.
Overall Thoughts
VoiPLy offers great plans for both residential and small business customers. Pricing is very competitively priced against other providers in the market place and it has rich features sets.
Unlimited calling for the US, Canada and over 50 countries is impressive and all customer support is 24/7 and resides in the United States. It really is a compelling offering.

I cannot be more pleased with Voiply! I'm paying half of my previous VoIP provider, have more features, and the phone
number transfer was precisely as promised. Their customer portal is a bit complicated, but their support via online chat
and email is amazingly fast in answering questions and helping out.

Absolutely everything about our Voiply service has been fantastic: fair pricing for the service, good explanation of the system
(including how porting of 'phone number works), billing, installation, customer support, and quality/dependability of service! I was
skepical about VoIP phone service before switching to Voiply but ALL of my concerns and doubts have been resolved in the very short
time we've had our Voiply service - hopefully it will continue to satisfy us for many years to come!

Since switching to Voiply I have been very pleased with my decision. I used a Voip carrier for several years and had nothing but
problems with their service. I had to constantly reboot my modem, dropped calls, poor sound quality etc. I was ready to go with my
wifi service provider and pay a lot more to get good service. I read a rating of the best Voip carriers and saw Voiply listed. I
decided to give them a try and I am so glad I did. I haven't had to reboot my modem once, the sound quality is crystal clear and I
love being able to use my mobile phone to make calls with the Voiply app. I highly recommend you giving them a try.

Very well pleased with the service
that they are providing so far. The
staff have been very congenial, easy
to understand, very polite answering
all the questions that I have asked
thus far. Service has been very
reliable on outgoing and incoming
calls. Can't beat the price. The only
problem I have with the phone calls
are the delay from my voice to the
receiving voice and talking over
each other. Other than that I'm very
pleased with VoIPLy

In May 2022, I switched to VOIPLY from another VOIP provider I've used for almost 10 years. My previous carrier advertised
$8.33/month with a 12 month prepaid plan that turned into $15.09/month for a total of $191.87. VOIPLY's 12 month prepaid plan cost
me $134.37. That included the added fees and taxes and a more accurate local sales tax. VOIPLY also includes spam call blocking
that I did not have with my previous carrier. I have no regrets for making the switch, especially since we also have two cell phones.
I wanted to keep my home phone number I've had for over 32 years, but was about ready to disconnect it until I found VOIPLY.

I had a few issues to work through when I first got started. Some of my WiFi provider settings were causing problems. Each time I
reached out for technical help through Voiply chat, I received excellent technical help which these days is very rare. I have been
very impressed, even the Internet provider problems they helped me through and they gave me the information to give to the internet
provider as to what to adjust on my router.
The phone is very clear. We love the Voiply Extra Line app so there is never a need to transfer to our cell phones, all phone calls
also come in on our cell phones which can be turned on or off. The Spam Blocker is working great! Our spam calls have dropped off to
a trickle. I almost forgot, there is a lot of money to be saved each month. Our annual phone bill with Voiply is about a month and a
half's worth of billing from AT&T!

I had a different VOIP service before VOIPLY. VOIPLY is hands down better in all respects. My calls aren't dropping. Their Customer
Service is FABULOUS! They have spent considerable time making sure any issues are resolved. They are easy to contact. I am SO happy I
changed providers to VOIPLY!

Cheap Price for Low Quality Service

I've had issues with dropped calls and sound quality - either sound is far away or is digitized. It also has weird and annoying quirks such as when I call another landline that is busy it rings a few times then just clicks and then goes dead. Especially annoying is when I hang up a call it rings back, anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes later. Was happy with the no commitment low price but ya get what ya pay for!
VISITOR/PROVIDER FEEDBACK:
Martin (September 16th 2022) : Hi Cici,
I'm sorry to hear you encountered quality issues. I can understand why you are disappointed. Our goal is to provide great quality service at an affordable price. Simply having customer get what they pay for isn't aligned with our company goals.
In regards to what you've experienced, that type of issue is normally related to Internet and/or network settings. I've escalated your issue to our support team and they will reach out to help you with this issue.
Thank you for choosing VoIPLy!
Sincerely,
Martin

I do not have an iphone, can I still set up Voiply?
-> Response: You do not need an iphone. Just a regular old analog phone will work - they send you an adapter. You do need Internet though.

If I decide that the VoIPly service is not for me, is there a
charge to port to another provider?
-> Response: Voiply does not charge porting fees. Other providers may though so check with them before you port to them.

is an ATA included with the adapter?
-> Response: The ATA is the adapter (Analog Telephone Adapter), it is free of charge.

Can a user block numbers, if so how many?
