On a couple of occasions there have been surprising increases in my bill. Fortunately, they have been resolved through customer service.

Watch out for Vonage. I tried it out but the quality was terrible and could hardly hear the caller. When I cancelled they charged me an early termination fee. Never again will I use them.

Ron (October 7th 2016) : Wish I would have read your comment before ordering. They started charging me the day I ordered 10/3/16, but forgot to tell me I had to port my line from AT&T which after 4 days of constant errors hasn't ported yet, but now promise port day as 10/11/16.
Al (February 26th 2017) : Thinking about switching from AT&T to Vonage. Who actually handles or controls the phone number transfer, AT&T or Vonage?
WhichVoIP : If you switch to Vonage, then Vonage will initiate the number port with AT&T (or whoever your existing provider is). It is then up to AT&T to port the number to Vonage.

Easy to set up but hidden charges when I cancelled. I would never recommend to anyone. I was told not to go with Vonage to begin with but I did not listen.

Easy to set up, easy to use features, great sound quality. Great teaser rate for first year and reasonable rate after that. Only complaint is all the taxes and fees, but that's the same everywhere.
