I've had Vonage for at least 10 years and wouldn't have any other phone service. Vonage is reasonable and trouble-free. Any time (which has maybe been once or twice) there's been a problem it gets fixed immediately.

I have been a Vonage customer for many years. They have consistently provided good service and value for money. The customer service is great, call quality has improved over the years. It is quite reliable. We like the service a lot.

I received good service for many years up until I cancelled my phone service. I did not realize the fine print (nor was I informed until I called about cancelling) when I paid for a full year allows for them to keep the full amount - no pro-rated reimbursement for unused months. What a ripoff when I no longer need a landline!

The salesman lied about the cost of $9.99 per month. Customer service lied that the extra cost was for paying for the device. After the trial period, customer service said extra cost was taxes. Lies, it does not cost $9.99 per month, but almost twice that amount. After I canceled their service they stopped allowing incoming phone calls to my phone number. Being an Electrician how would they like their power turned off?

I was told all you do is plug it in and make calls. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour, plugging in my laptop to the device they sent. Went through a ton of steps and still nothing. Of course I was speaking with someone in India and the phone call was so frustrating. Even trying to call and get my money back is a huge hassle with someone who barely speaks English. This has not been a good experience and I still do not have a phone. Please if you are smart you will not chose Vonage. This company is a joke.

Service is generally good, although there are occasional spontaneous disconnects, poor connections (which necessitate calling back), and immediate transfers to message center, either without ring, or with one ring. The worst thing, and the reason we are switching to OOMA, is that Vonage has slowly doubled the cost of its service, now just under $34.00. Like many subscribers, I have the monthly fee deducted from an account, so only view it now and then. That is a mistake, and I will rectify it, as stated above. This has become, as they say, a rip-off.

I have had Vonage for nine years and have been happy with the product and service. Also, the monthly rate is very attractive considering the range of service and features included.

Sometimes the system only carries voice 1 way, sometimes the 2 way voice switch works poorly. Never know if it is Vonage or the Internet provider. Price is fair but you must continually call after the "special pricing" period to get switched back to a plan close to what you had. Phantom 2nd line is a unique and very nice feature if you need it. Nice people to deal with over the phone. Canadian rates seem a better deal than the USA which seems odd. They reward loyalty.

Had to contact customer service two or three times; problem immediately taken care of. Overall cost of service versus 'normal' land line cost is a definite plus.
