World Unlimited is not really unlimited. Their customer service says the plan is unlimited but i cannot use more than certain minutes. Lies, deceptions. Not reliable. This is cheating...

avoid vonage like the plague. It either used so much bandwith that we weren't able to stream anything... after giving it a lower priority in order to stream, game online, the calls were so bad that i'd have to call everyone back on my cell. We had high speed cable internet service, by the way. Cancelling the service has been nearly impossible.... hold times of 20+ minutes with the call "mysteriously" disconnecting. When I finally reached a rep, they were unable to process my request because they were doing a system upgrade and I'd have to call back. DO NOT use them... you will regret it!!!!

I had a contract for a year with them, they did not fullfilled the contract (lots of calls did not go out) so I wanted part of my money back because I was just able to do 50% of the calls, so they did NOT return the money and I COULD NOT MAKE THE CALLS I was suppouse to do. They took my money and I did not received the service.

Have been with vonaqge for nine months and i am very disappointed with their services. The main reason i took vonage was to communicate to my loved ones and friends in Kenya. When i signed i was assured that all international calls i will be making to Kenya will not incur addition charges except the monthly charge of 24.99 dollars plus tax which was about 35.00 dollars. In the month of March 2011 vonage gave me a hefty bill of bout 140.00 dollars. When i inquired one of the representative informed me that i had made international calls to Kenya and had been charged. The representative went ahead to inform me that there were changes and all calls to Kenya were no longer free with effect from February 2011. I had not been informed of the changes but they insisted they had informed everyone. The claimed to have e- mailed everyone although i did not recieve any e-mail. They also claimed to have left a voice mail which i did not recieve. On 14th of May 2011 i requested that the services be suspended for several months and they informed me they do not suspend services but may put your service on hold ;of course at cost. They went ahead to remind me that i was still under contract with them.My main issue was that they had breached part of their contract by starting to charge me for services that they were not supposed to. They were willing to cancel my contract at a fee of more than 120 dollars. It was after i protested that they offered to change my plan to 9.99(?) per month and to contnue paying till the end of my contract in August 2011. I find this unfair and unscruplous. I believe vonage broke their part of the contract and they have no authority to keep me in a contract they have breached. They have no authority to enter me into another contract either. Can i get a good lawyer to protect me and others from this kind of daylight rip off?

I have not disconnected because of the numerous levels of people you have to talk with and hold time before discontinuing service. Last attempt was over 35 minutes before I had to hangup. Where are the class action attorneys when you need them.

I would never recommend Vonage to anybody, they promise something else and do something else(they actually lie). I was never informed about the cancellation fee either. there customer service is unavailable firstly and when you do get to them they are rude. The voice quality is very poor. You have to reboot their contraption mid way through your conversation. Never get it even if they give it you for free!!!!!

I have had Vonage for 18 months now and just signed up for the annual payment feature to save $30 a year. I have no complaints. It messes up once in awhile but not anymore than my old landline did and now I can call friends and family all over the world included in the one price, except for cell phones in Norway, which is a bummer. Vonage is a keeper for us.

To potential Vonage customers, The signup process was simple and online. They took my credit card and signed me up, then they sent me the modem and it all worked well for a few months, then I started to experience interruptions in my communications. The service gradually became so bad I had to reboot the vonage modem several times a day. It was impossible to get a live person on the phone to talk to so I finally decided to switch to Cox cable. After reading reviews from other dissatisfied customers I waited until my phone number was ported over to Cox before I cancelled Vonage. It took more than a week to have my telephone number ported over. There is no means for canceling online, it requires a call to a Service Representative but first one must wade through 10 or more minutes of computer generated crap in order to finally get a human on the phone. Once the person did get on the line, it was another series of the same exact questions again wasting my time. The Representative then lets me know that service will be terminated and that I will not be refunded for unused service days and that no prorate is provided in the contract. I had six months left on my contract and it cost me $129 to cancel. The result of my experience is that I will never do business with Vonage again. And I will advise others to stay away as well. Do you self a favor and stay away from this company with bad customer service and bad business acumen. The deal is not that great any longer anyway. My advice is to check the cancellation requirements for any online tech service to see the ease and fairness at which one can cancel.
