Vonage - DON'T BUY IT! I'm a network engineer and could not get it to work for more than a couple of days. After several emails to tech support and hours trying their suggestions it still doesn't work. Terrible call quality and then when I went to cancel I had to pay $129 for early disconnect. What a horrible company and a horrible expreince. I've used 8x8 for years and love them. I've swtiched back.

DO NOT GET VONAGE...... For almost a year Vonage had tried to get my service working properly. Most of the phone calls were so bad the the receiving party could not hear nor could I! After a call about canceling my service what I was told was not what I was charged for, very dishonest. So with 10 days left until the end of my first year they canceled my service and I was charged over $125. I am warning you........you will be happy with the price but not the quality. CHEAP DOES NOT MEAN GOOD! Extremely high early cancellation fees! Everyone on the tech end has a barely understandable accent. Taxes and 911 charges that make a $26 bill really be over $34.

Poor customer service and lots of extra fees, including a $40 "leaving fee" to grab the last bit of money that they can, even after 18 months of service! We also had poor sound quality with a few days a month unusable.

I have had Vonage for 3 yrs and decided I was paying too much. So when I moved I tried to cancel it. Was told by customer service that since I already paid for the month, they didn't want to cancel it that day but my service would be canceled at the end of the billing cycle. Then of course it wasn't canceled and they charged me for the next month. When I called they said they would not refund my prorated fees back, but said I could get a month for free. I have had enough and would not recommend Vonage to anyone.

Nothing but problems after about 6 months. I call some numbers and hear no ringing noise, just silence then all of a sudden they answer. Had calls being dropped but no change in internet speed just a Vonage problem. Their customer service is in Inda except for a few hours in the afternoon when you get these really snotty people who just keep telling you that your ISP is the problem and that "Comcast is degrating your service b/c you have Vonage". Basically whenever you call you get crap answers and no solutions. You get what you pay for i guess. I wish Call Vantage was still around!

We have been with Vonage for nearly two years and had nothing but problems. Issues encountered included: when calling out people receive our call as long distance, when people call in they will occasionally get a fax line or another person, loud echo preventing the discussion to continue, inability to call out due to fax sound or no tone, line cutting in and out etc.... All complaints were nearly ignored by Vonage and altough they scheduled a time and date to call us to try to address the issues, we never heard back from them. In addition to the above, several calls made are to a specific number, initially once a week at the same time of day and it progressed to 5-6 times a day.... all this taking time away from my 500 outgoing minute plan. DO NOT GO WITH VONAGE!

DO NOT USE VONAGE!!! Horrible all the way around. Drops calls, international rates are not what they promise, customer service is terrible. I will drop change back to AT&T as soon as my contract expires. Everything is false about this company.

I don't recommend Vonage because of the supervisor I spoke with and her name is Jasmine Jacel Ramon and she's from the Philippines as she have told me. She was very rude and totally sarcastic. I recommend that she should be terminated. She's a supervisor from Vonage Sales dept and she refused to escalate my call to customer service due to my concerns especially with the credits and because I'm planning to cancel the service. VONAGE will lose business with this kind of people especially having this incompetent, rude and extremely dangerous supervisor Jasmine Jacel Ramon. CANCEL YOUR VONAGE SERVICE NOW!!!
